Nice piece of furniture for a narrow hallway or tight space. The only drawback is that the instructions are all drawings (poor and in small print) with no text. Some of the top and bottom supporting pieces need to be oriented a certain direction so the sliding doors work properly. This is not delineated on the assembly instructions. As a result, I had to disassemble the unit and flip the pieces. Also, the unit was not square, consequently, the doors did not roll properly. The hardware pack was not complete, either. Several screws were not included in the pack. Perhaps I purchased a dud. I waited several months for the shelf due to backorder.

I absolutely love this bookcase. My boyfriend and I put it together in only a few hours. The instructions were a little fuzzy, but common logic will help you. I have received multiple compliments and some even thought it is an old heirloom piece! The only negative for me is I wish it were a little bigger. You have to store larger books on their side unless you take a shelf out altogther. It's very expensive looking and it can really dress up a room. Beware of one thing: the smell of stain is a little overpowering for the first few days...and it lingers for a week or so, but with good ventilation, it will dissipate.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Seth0506 Nice but nicked in multiple areas
This is a nice piece that I have placed at the entry way of my apartment. It was relatively easy to assemble and is solid and sturdy. Unfortunately, I did not realize until after assembly that there were multiple nicks on the piece that must have occurred during shipping. If you purchase this piece INSPECT it closely before you start to assemble it! As well, one of the sliding doors does not roll easily on its track which makes it slightly more difficult to open- you have to use 2 hands to more or less pick the door up off the tracks and move it over rather than rolling it on the track.

Very nice media cabinet, went together good, easy to do. Some pieces came with scratches but called up the company and they sent me replacement parts very quickly and was very efficient. Very happy with the quality of the cabinet, looking forward to getting the end tables to match! Love it!

I think this is the perfect product for a small space. I am using this as a hutch. I left out the center shelf and added glass shelves, lights and more adjustment holes. The only problem was that the doors on both sides had a gap of over 1/2 inch at the top side edge. This may have been caused by leaving out the center shelf...
It was corrected by shiming the inside door rollers on both doors with some small washers.
I am very happy the the end product

It went together mostly OK. The hardware and wood is cheap, so you need to be extra careful not to torque anything too hard. The back was labeled with an "up" sticker that was on upside down, so I had to remove ~20 screws to get it back on correctly. The finish does not fully cover the wood. Don't look too closely! The screws meant to hold the back to the fixed shelf would not bite, so I had to add longer ones of my own. The piece that is the bottom of the doored cabinet/top of the drawer is warped so the doors fall in toward each other at the top and gap at both outside top corners. It is going in a room where it will rarely get seen and I will be installing a lock on the doors that will hold them square or it would be going back. I have a lot of assembly and some cabinet-making experience. I did not expect much for this price, but it still missed that low mark.

You get what you pay for. Not a rugged piece, the stain doesn't go deep...but....it looks GREAT! As someone else had written there was a gap on one side of the door when in closed posititon. It wasn't that the doors were not angled correctly, more that the roller on the bottom didn't give the door enough height in one corner. I put a shim underneath the door to enhance the appearance.

The wood and finish of this piece was nice, however after putting it together the sliding doors did not butt up against the sides and the bottom draw was crooked..Home Decorators was very helpful and resolved these issues..With a few home made tweaks the piece can be adjusted, however, for the price I didnt feel I should be doing anything with it except for filling it with my stuff...
