Special ordered two St Paul tops, a 37” and a 43” ... (for 36” and 42”) vanities respectfully. The sizing instructions PDF states in two places to order 1” larger in width and depth. But the picture shows ½” oversize all the way around. I asked a Home Depot guru and got the same recommendation, 1" oversize in width and depth.
The typical vanity will be against the wall 100% of the time – and against at least one side wall more often than not. So obviously to me now after the fact, you don’t really want 1” wider. I ended up having to bond 1/2” thick filler strip underneath – because they only give you a 1” surface under there. Leaving no surface to glue the top down, if you order 1” oversize like I did per the instructions. I read a review on here for a standard top that stated the same problem. And most standard tops are 37”. What’s up with that........
Anyway as far as quality for St Paul – the tops although “Special ordered” at significant cost of $400 each were actually made in Mexico 2 months prior. I guess they have popular sizes and color combos on hand. Pretty nice, but a better price if you can find the combo you want standard, like this one I am using to be able to leave a review. We got the under-mount sink – best appearance wise and seems to be the latest trend. The lower edges are a little sharp on the perimeter of the counter top, otherwise not a bad unit. Not for a million dollar home, but OK for my ‘70’s slit level remodel.
Had to do over would I still “special order”? Yes – but sized for 1/2” overhang. So in my case 35.5” x 42.5”......

I like the look of this top. I looked at many different tops and the oasis was beautiful. Part way thru
completing the plumbing under this sink I noticed that it would take off-market flex pipe to complete the piping. The drain on these sinks is only 7 inches from the back of cabinet, while many sinks are closer to 9 inches. Therefore, the straight pipe that comes down from this sink drain to the elbow, and back to the sewer line will be too close to the wall. There isn't enough room to connect the elbow. The only fix is a flex line and longer straight pipe coming down from the sink drain. This takes extra time, and I am not a fan of using flex line. If your sewer line comes out of your home's wall at 4 inches or more, you will have to use flex to install the plumbing.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Gary Defective product new out of the box
The vanity top included a defective composite sink which was not noticed by the instsller. The defect looks to have been attempted to be repairded by the manufacturer. I have contacted the manufacturer to have assurance that if the defect degrades over time the warranty will cover a replacement vanity top free of charge. I have been told to exchange the vanity top at Home Depot within the 90 day return policy. As the cost of labor to have the top installed, plus the cost of removing and re-installing a replacement top is not cost effective based on the value of the top itself, I do not want to replace the top at this time. I would like to wait and see if the defect does cause any complications. I can deal with the defect as long as complications do not arise. If complications do arise, then at that time I will pay for the labor to replace the top assuming the manufacturer's lifetime warranty would cover a free replacement top due to a clear manufacturer's defect. The manufacturer will not give me that assurance of the warranty covering the defect later down the line.

Good quality top for the money. Not top of the line but its looks good and appears to have a durable surface. Nice color if you are looking for a neutral tone as we were and it should match most anything. Looks great with the pre-finished hickory. Also, it can easily be trimmed to fit if need be. My vanity sits between two pantry towers and I had to trim 1/4" off of the top when using a 3/4" filler on one side. I used a side grinder with a diamond cutting wheel and ground the 1/4" off. Very easy to cut. 2 minute job and it fits and looks great. End splashes are available too which is a plus in my case. Under mount sink is a plus as well. Overall, good quality and I recommend it.
