This TV stand is pretty much what I expected for the price. I didn't think it was too hard to put together, just lots of parts, but everything is labeled. The door hinges were a little weird for me (flat part of hinge was too wide for the board edge I screwed it into), but that flaw is hidden when the doors are closed and doesn't affect the operation of the doors. I left the back side panels off since I'm using this for electronics and 1) wanted to be sure there was adequate air flow for cooling and 2) didn't want to drill another hole for cables/wires.
Overall, good purchase. The stand looks nice and is sturdy. Holds my 42" flatscreen and 3 cable/dvd boxes just fine.

I have purchased quite a bit of furniture from HomeDecorators and wish that some of the pieces that I had purchased in the past were still available.
I needed a corner TV stand that was brown/cherry finish and this fit the bill.
When I received the shipment today (I choose 2 day shipping) I unboxed to make sure that all parts were there, and that there was no scratches or breaking. The very thing I hated about the packaging (styrofoam everywhere) was what it needed to keep the unit perfect.
Its nice to have something shipped to your home that you don't have to worry is scratched or broken. VERY sturdy unit and thick wood, not flimsy.
Not really hard to put together, there are very few pieces and they are all large.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WebbMan ADMIRE & RESPECT HOME DEPOT BECAUSE ...
i HAD TO WRITE A FOLLOW UP TO MY LAST REVIEW BECAUSE ALTHOUGH IT WAS LESS THAN FAVORABLE OF THE "HOME DECORATOR" CORNER TV STAND - THE HOME DEPOT POSTED MY REVIEW BUT HOME DECORATORS DID NOT. THE DECISION OF THE HOME DEPOT "REVIEW" DEPT TO POST THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY ONLY STRENGTHENS THEIR BRAND.
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING IT "REAL" HOME DEPOT, A COMPANY I ADMIRE AND RESPECT !!
Not so much to The Home Decorators Group....

"I purchased this item though the Home Depot. The transaction went smoothly BUT there was slight DAMAGE to one of the panels when it arrived. NOTE, this unit does NOT have the usual toll free number to ask for a replacement of a damaged or missing part. You either keep it or send the whole thing back. The damaged panel was the bottom shelf so I decided to keep it. My major gripe is although the wood panels were heavy, quality wood pieces, the metal hardware were junk made of cheap metal.
The whole unit is held together by metal cams and cam pins. This kit gave 2 extra cams but NO extra cam pins and one actually BROKE. Now what?? The entire unit was wobbly so I knew the ONLY way to save this situation and not take it all apart to send back was to reinforce ALL the joints with right angle brackets that I had to buy. Made the building time double. At least now I know it won't fall apart BUT just no logic to provide nice wood panels with junk hardware that is suppose to hold the whole thing together."

Item is just what I thought it would be, I have purchased other Mission products in the past they look good. Workmanship is good quality, all the holes lined up getting the doors perfect is a task. Of course the last panels you install tells you to make sure they are they lined up. They were not so I used wooden wedges
in the top and bottom of the doors while I but the two last rear panels on the came out okay. Overall took like two hours to assemble by myself.

Its just what my wife and I were looking for. This has been one of THEE easiest to assemble. As a man we sometimes tend to think we do not need the instruction manuals and could build anything. But, the best thing to always do is follow the directions. They put them in there for a reason. As I began to put it together I was very surprised as how everything was flowing so easy and didn't need to stop to make sure I was doing it correctly. Everything came out wonderful. The cabinet looks awesome and we are extremely happy with our purchase.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Michelle This is awesome
We bought this TV stand to fit in an awkward corner of our townhome living room (one corner is the back of a bar, the other corner is a window to the patio). We had another, much larger/bulky entertainment stand that we were using for our 23 in. flat screen TV, but it took up so much room I wanted to look for another option.
I had this shipped to my local store picked it up without a hassle. The box is HEAVY, and assembly, while uncomplicated, took about two hours by myself. The package comes with all the hardware and glue you need, plus an allen wrench. I counted out the screws, etc., and found that, in comparison to the number printed on the instructions, they actually sent about 3-4 extra of everything, which is nice. The only additional tool you will need is a Phillips head screwdriver. Instructions are clear but not lengthy. You will need LOTS of elbow grease to screw in the screws, but they fit nice and tight, so it is worth it.
Once assembled, this item feels very sturdy and high quality. The color is somewhat lighter and warmer than is shown in this picture (which is actually what I wanted, so hooray!). I took the advice of other reviewers and left off the side panels in the back, which enables the cords for various devices that are inside the cabinet to have an outlet. The only hole for cord containment is on the (visible) permanent top shelf, so unless you are not planning to put a DVD player/DVR/etc. inside the cabinet part, I would echo the recommendation to leave off the back panels (you won't even notice, I promise).
I think this is a GREAT value for the money, and it fits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend it if you're considering it.
