Does this curtain rod come in a bigger diameter or is 3/4" the only option? How heavy of a curtain could this rod support?

I purchased the same size rods, my windows are 6' wide. I just weighed my drapes, (for another window, same drapes) and they weigh 5 lbs. I did not need to use the middle extender or the support. no sagging problem at all. If your drapes are heavy and lined as long as you use the center support I don't think you will have any trouble. Besides homedepot will take them back. I know it's a pain. I don't Read More

Your drapes are already in the window, they sure make a room don't they. Read Less

You can Google the product make and brand to see their other offerings. In terms of curtain weight, it can take a lot of weight. i was worried about that also so we went the extra mile and made sure we used the right screws depending on the type of wall we were drilling, i.e., drywall screws with anchors for drywall and concrete screws into concrete walls. We made sure to use anchors when needed! Screws/anchors are cheap and you can buy them at any home improvement store. My curtain rings and rods are holding up jersey fabric (which is heavy) and another curtain on the same rings for a specific drapery look. I would not worry with right screws and anchors. I would do the same process (specific screws and anchors) for any other curtain rod that I bought. I purchased these because I liked this clean, modern look. Read Less

No plastic finials here! Came with 3 brackets that extend out, so you don't have to worry about the curtains being too close to the sill. And I had NO trouble with the plastic anchors and screws going into my drywall. I LOVE these anchors. The look HUGE, but make the rod super strong. You SCREW the anchor into the wall after pre-drilling a 3/16" hole. Other anchors, you have to hammer them in and you either bend the plastic anchor while trying to do that, or miss entirely and hit the wall! These are big and go in like butter. Would have liked for the finials to be longer, as they are so cool and modern looking. But they are just fine. They don't look short or cheap. They especially stand out against my dark painted wall. == NOTE:== The ONLY problem with this set is they are put together kind of wonky in the box. I even returned to Home Depot thinking they were defective. When you open the box, there are the two 'larger' outer rods and a thinner 'inner' rod. A finial is attached to the end of one of the larger rods. Fine. But then a finial is attached to the thinner inner rod. Instructions tell you to remove the finial from the thinner inner rod and attach it to the end of the other larger rod. Ok. I unscrewed it from the thinner rod, and went to screw it on the remaining larger rod. NO GO. There was NO SCREW sticking out the end of the other large rod for me to screw it onto/attach it to. However, there WAS a screw left on the thinner rod where I had removed the finial. Well, how in the world was I going to screw on the finial, if there was no screw on either end of that 2nd 'larger' rod??!!?? There were holes on the end of that 2nd large rod that looked like a screw should be in there...but no screw. Just two holes on the ends. And one hole had a plastic looking insert in it. But no screw! Took it back to the store and all of the customer service ladies said it was 'defective'....get another. I got TWO from the shelf and brought them up to the counter. SAME THING AGAIN! NO screw on the end of the 2nd larger outer rod! In either box! A young man behind the counter fiddled with it and figured it out! You have to take the finial off the smaller/thinner inner rod, as in the first steps of the instructions, THEN with your fingers gently UNSCREW that screw that was holding it on and screw this now loose screw into the end of the larger rod, into the 'plastic insert'! Screw it about halfway down the length of screw. THEN attach the finial to the 2nd larger rod. WEIRD. Have hung many rods, but have never seen that. And it was like that in THREE boxes. So it's a manufacturing thing. They should have this step in the instructions! Still, would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these curtain rods! I installed one in my guest room, and love the look so much, I bought two more for master bedroom. Perfect when paired with grommet top curtains, sleek and modern. Very sturdy & easy to install. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking curtain rod! Such a nice change from all the other rods that have the big, bulky, ornamental design on the end. This simple, stream lined design looks great. I highly recommend this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from modern rods I wanted a modern rod and these fit the bill. They look sturdy and made of good quality. They seem to manage my curtains fine but they are not heavy curtains! They were easy to install. On one set of rods, my curtains get stuck or it is hard to slide curtain over where the attachment rods are but I don't know if this is just this rod because it does not happen on the others. I would definitely buy again and would recommend. They are good rods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the "Modern or Mid Century Decor" This curtain rod is solid, comes with all of the essentials for installation, looks great with the grommet drapery. I am very happy. Also it is priced very competitively with with any other rod in it's class. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Telescoping Curtain Rod Kit The rod was easy to assemble and fit the "tight" space we had in which to install it. It coordinated well with the other curtain rod sets we bought to go over our other windows.
