Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scoot Big fan of this fan
Fan looks great installed and good quality overall. Moves lots of air in a big vaulted-ceilinged room. We keep wall switch on and use the remote for speed/direction. Installed on a beam in a room with a high ceiling--lots of quiet air flow. Install was fairly straightforward. Thought of getting a light kit but prefer the looks without it. Would recommend this.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by aja1519 Just what I wanted
We had to replace are existing fan. The only thing it lacked was a light, but could be added for an additional cost. You choose from 4 models of lights. This was extremely heavy, and requires two people to lift securely, could be done with one if you mechanically inclined.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WckdSoul Beautiful and when working, displaces a lot of air
However, we've had this fan 3 years and in those 3 years the receiver has been replaced 3 times. The original, 1 we got for free and now we're waiting on the replacement part that is currently on 2 weeks backorder. We've only had a week of solid 100 degree days but what's another 2 weeks. If we had to pay for the 1st replacement we would already be in half of what we paid for this fan. If it breaks again, we'll be replacing the fan and not with another Home Depot product. Which is a shame because this fan is stunning in our living room and really moves a lot of air but I'm not going to keep replacing a defective part for a subpar fan.

same story as everyone else. it stopped working after two years. called home depot they told me to call the manufacture. i called them and the part was on back order and the part was not covered.. the part was $50.00 plus shipping. its been a month and no call back. maybe that's why they didn't take my credit card info. this fan was over $229.00 and it only worked for two years. no one can figure out what's wrong with it. I have extra wall switches however only one will work. so, you have to use their remote for the light and fan. you cant hard wire it on the wall plates .
please don't buy this fan.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Catsinthecradle Good looking fan, quality ? Average at best.
Installed the 68" fan today, this baby is heavy, you might want to have a real fan box to hang it from.
Id also note, the drop for this, is for a 10' ceiling or taller. I installed on a 9' ceiling, which required some light modifying work.
My only complaint, with only have running it for a couple hours, the motor hums, and the hum is not constant, it has a frequency to it, up and down. Some might not notice it, Im almost deaf, but I can hear it. The irony, the box claims the fan has, and I quote " quiet motor technology plus ". Yeah, good thing it does, because if it didnt, it might be competing with your blender. And Im making reference to low speed, it just hums more as you turn up the speed.
This is an electromagnetic hum, not a machine vibrating hum. This thing is well balanced, not shaking or vibrating, but the motor hums, much like the sound of electricity coming from high power lines, just to be clear. This one might be defective, or they all might hum, dont know ?
Ive only owned Hunter brand ceiling fans in previous homes, including this one, and prefer the quality of the hunters, but i really like the style of this fan, I would have paid more $ for it, if it was of higher quality. Hunter does not sell anything that looks like this either, I looked.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MarcB Receiver problem (same as everyone else)
If you've scrolled down at all in the reviews on this product, you've probably noticed a theme.
Bought and installed with a friend on a 17 foot ceiling in our great room in May 2014 and sure enough, the receiver just died after a little over 2 years...I've had $50- $100 fans last significantly longer.
When we bought it 2 years ago, there weren't the 1-star reviews you see all over the place now. Beware the poor engineering of this unit and buy something else
On the plus side, it moves air well when it works...

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by P2 The fan is large and really nice looking, not sure about the air movement.
The fan was super easy to assemble and looks great. As the blades move slow, you do not get the air movement directly under the fan as you would on a smaller fan that moves faster. I need to monitor longer to see if it makes the room feel cooler even at a higher AC temperature. I am totally sold on the look and quality, just unsure that I am really getting the air movement as stated on the box.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Muffy I love my ceiling fan
This ceiling fan replaced the one in the house I purchased recently. I love the size & look of it. It's a large fan in a vaulted ceiling room. I especially like it because it reminds me of the fan I had in my last home. It has a sleek & uncluttered look to it.
I only wish it came with a light, instead of adding a universal light to it. The universal light diminishes the style.
