the color is a nice cranberries, if it was solid dyed . it is a terrible rug . hurts your feet. feels like walking on wire no kidding. hard to clean because stuff gets in the string construction of the rug and stays.i think it is an outdoor rug, i don't want it on my deck. i would rather burn my feet walking across the boards than to walk on this rug. it is terrible. buy something else save your money.

What type a rug is a Sisal?

What type a rug is a Sisal?
Asked by: Fancy
Sisal is a hard fibre extracted from the leaves of sisal plants which are perennial succulents that grow best in hot and dry areas. Sisal is an environmentally friendly fibre as it is biodegradable and almost no pesticides or fertilizers are used in its cultivation.

How does it feel on bare feet?

Asked by: Anonymous
Kepuhi, Thank you for the question! The Home Decorators Collection Amherst Cranberry 2 Ft. x 3 Ft. 4 In. Accent Rug is a natural fiber rug made from sisal. Sisal is the toughest of all natural fibers and works great in high-traffic areas. Since the fibers are course, it is not ideal for small children or bare feet.

Amherst Cranberry 2 ft. x 3 ft. 4 In. Accent Rug is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This runner is exactly as described. I was very pleased with the color and quality of this runner. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for my front entryway. I have a german shephard who sheds constantly and I love how her hair does not cling to this rug like it would with others. Cleans so easily with a vacuum. Love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from did not match a rug bought 10 months ago I have had for 10 months one of the 8' octagonal amherst sisal rugs, which I love. I ordered a 7 x 9 rug in the same color for an adjacent room. To my disappointment, the binding on the new is totally different-much wider and coarser fabric. Not as shown on your website and not like the one on my original rug. Guess I'll keep it because I have no option, but wonder why you changed the binding without showing that on the website.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This rug was exactly as described. The color is a nice rich brown and it is good quality. It did bunch up the first few days after it was laid however, once it flattend out, it stayed flat. I've had it in place for about two weeks and it doesn't slide or roll up at the edges as some of the natural fiber rugs tend to do. It also came in a 7x9 size which is very hard to find and was delevered only a few days after iI ordered it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from natural look, easy care This is our second purchase of these rugs. The first 4 we purchased 6 years ago for our kitchen! It was time to replace 2 of them and we're very happy with the new ones, they match our other older ones beautifully! Hope HD carries these for many years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great kitchen rug! This rug is exactly what I was looking for. I bought it for my kitchen and the color matches my current decor perfectly. Also the material is nice and easy to vacuum. Other rugs have been difficult to vacuum, which can be a problem if food falls onto the rug. Overall, I highly recommend this rug!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from the worst rug i have ever bought it hurts your bare feet to walk on it. this is a out door rug the color is not solid threads hanging on it .if anything drops on it it goes in to the hard string construction of it , and stays. just a waste of money for sure. i don't even want it on my deck. it's a night mare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made, Elegant and Durable We purchased this rug in espresso to use as an entry mat for people when they enter our foyer from the front door. It looks great on our wood floors. The sisal makes it durable for the application, and the overall look is elegant and fits the motif of our adjacent living room. I do not feel that a sisal rug would be a common choice for a large area rug, but I think it works well for what we need. As for the complaints that the rug is not suitable for walking on with bare feet because it is uncomfortable, that would be the case with any durable fiber such as sisal. It's resilient and tough; it's not a wool hand-crafted rug. I think it is fair to say that ordering the rug was a decent experience, but it did take us 3 months to receive it.
