Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Humvet Excellent Unit, Excellent Value
This is a very high quality looking unit for a reasonable price. We also bought two 15" matching small tables used as night stands which match perfectly with this unit.
This unit has a small capacity for dirty clothes. Might have been better to not have a top drawer which would then allow for more dirty clothes.
Be prepared to be in assemble mode as this one has a lot of pieces and assembly steps. Even though the instructions are good, I still managed to reverse the position of two pieces which I found out at the end which resulted in a partial dismantling to get it right.
All that said, the unit looks of very high quality and we like it very much.

I am very happy with this piece overall. The actual laundry bin is a little smaller than it appears but its big enough for a week's worth of laundry for two people and we love the extra storage space provided by the drawer. Assembly took about three hours since there are a lot of parts. I found it interesting that there were so many different types of screws...thought it would be more efficient to use the same type whenever possible. Speaking of hardware, it was not the best quality. The screws stripped easily and the cam locks disintegrated when any pressure at all was applied. Luckily, two extra cam locks are provided....

I purchased this piece in Macintosh Oak. The color reminds me of mahogany. It's absolutely beautiful. I'm using it in my kitchen as a trash bin. There are 4 hooks inside for attaching the provided laundry bag for use as a hamper. I use the hooks to attach a large garbage bag. The hooks hold the bag open nicely. The drawer is handy for storing foil, sandwich bags, and trash bags out of sight. The hamper is nearly the height of my counters. The top would be a good spot for an appliance like a microwave or toaster oven. I'm so happy with this purchase that I'm thinking about buying more pieces in the Artisan line.

This Artisan Tilt-out Hamper looks great in the bedroom, and the tilt-out feature allows placing things on top like car keys, etc. without having to remove them to use the hamper. So now there is no (good) reason to just throw clothes on the floor next to the hamper. I actually enjoyed putting it together - very satisfying, even though it took several hours. The directions were excellent, though; be careful with part number five to make sure you put it on facing the correct direction. Waiting until the hamper is fully assembled will cost you 15 minutes pulling one end of it off and turning it around.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by wordlywork Online info for product inadequate
Appearance and quality are both up to standards. This was replacement for earlier similar purchase. BUT the online info was not adequate to assess the interior pull out area, which does not allow enough room for a standard plastic trash can--which the previous model accommodated nicely. I'm disappointed! It doesn't work for me nearly as well as the earlier version, and now that it's assembled I can't return it! And pull-out sticks against interior...

I've been using the hamper for several months now and am quite pleased with the purchase. I thought the actual bin might be larger but it contains about the same storage space as a regular large clothes hamper. Overall, it's a beautiful piece and quite sturdy...just be sure not to pick it up from the top, as it can get a little wiggly. My only complaint: if you open the hamper door farther than the springs are designed to hold (which isn't far enough to empty the bin), the door will fall completely open to the floor (or your foot). I would recommend this piece.

I purchased the hamper in Macintosh Oak and am overall happy with the piece. (The Mac Oak is like a dark walnut and does not have a red tint to it). I wanted a piece of furniture to place outside my laundry room & garage entry that could double as a laundry hamper & place for mail/keys/purse. This piece works very well! My husband--who is very handy--was able to put it together within a couple of hours and commented that the directions were very good and all pieces were very well marked. I probably would've taken me all day, but it was no big deal for him. The only thing that was bad was Home Decorators put the item on SALE after I ordered it but BEFORE I received the item! So, I guess I overpaid by $60!! That kind of soured the overall experience.

Real wood, good finish, well thought out instructions and assembled cabinet and its moving parts are sturdy I bought two to put side-by-side as a place to hide laundry in a central area and as a table top to fold laundry from the dryer. The delivery was timely and I believe it would have been difficult to find this item in a store for the price. The storage capacity is not huge and with two fashonistas in the house we still need an overflow hamper, but definetly is an improvement over baskets. Assembly note: Be cautious not to strip out pre-drilled wood using a power screwdriver - for the drawer assembly I would recommend a hand driver. Might need your own wood glue as one of the provided bottles was dried up. But all said I am impressed with company and product.
