Customer Questions & Answers

Is the bottom brace board mandatory?

Asked by: Samma
It wasn't for me. In fact, I couldn't have installed it even if I wanted to because of how the plumbing sits behind my toilet. I did not use the bottom brace and feel the unit is still perfectly stable. The upper brace piece does a good job. I would recommend using the bracket that holds the unit to the wall, though. It is a bit tippy because it's so tall.

remove leggs mount on wall

can you cut the legs off and mount it on the wall, or do you have one like this that mount on the wall i only have 1'" between counter and toilet tank
Asked by: tanoose
Hi Tanoose, Your best bet is to purchase a wall mounted cabinet. If you cut off the legs on this cabinet and it does not work you can not return it. MIke,

Customer Reviews

Artisan 28 in. W SpaceSaver in Macintosh Oak is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality - should last for years! The only problem is the stabilizing bar that goes at the bottom back. It is not possible to install that piece. If you install it as the product is constructed, you can't get it behind the toilet. If you wait, you cannot place it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made, looks great This cabinet is very nice. It's well constructed and sturdy, the color matches the photographs. The measurements provided online were accurate. Putting it together is probably a two person job, but I managed to do it myself in about 3 1/2 hours. The instructions could have been clearer - especially with regard to the drawers. There's a little plastic piece that's supposed to keep the drawers from pulling all the way out, but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to use them. I tried them all different ways and nothing made sense. The instructions offer no help on this one item. Finally, I just left them out and the drawers are working just fine. Unless you have a very unique toilet set up, you won't be able to use the bottom stabilizer piece. I didn't feel I needed, though, as the unit is quite sturdy without it. Two things for potential buyers: the wood has a weird smell (something the wood is treated with?) that isn't going away very quickly. I expect it will eventually, but I've had it for a week and the odd chemical smell is still quite strong (though, not intolerable). Also, the drawers come in a separate box inside the main box with all the pieces stacked separately. Two of these pieces were broken in my box as the little panels that make up the drawers are quite flimsy until they're put together. The wood glue that came with the assembly package was able to put the panels back together, but they're still compromised. It wasn't worth it to return it over that, but perhaps the drawer box should be packed a little more carefully. Otherwise, it's great--I really like it. It's good quality and I expect to have it for a long time. It really 'classed up' my standard apartment bathroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do not like 1-the unit is too short. I ended up adding 6 inch square legs to the bottom. Had to stain and seal and most likely this is too much work for average person. 2-Drawers are not practical in a bathroom, too difficult to find items need more shelves. 3-would like a latch on the big door. 4-does not make sense to put clear glass in the doors, mirrors would be better. 5-the wood is good solid grade, the wood is sealed. 6-too much money for the end product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to trim Great cabinet. Had to trim the bottom brace to fit over toilet which is low but set close to the wall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful bathroom addition Very good. I was a little hesitant in purchasing this over the toilet cabinet because of the price. After in stalling it, I see it was worth the cost, addition to my newly renovated Bathroom.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful piece of furniture - great compliment to bathroom Would have received 4-1/2 stars if not for assembly issue. Who came up with the idea of cam screws, it was the worst type of fastener. It made assembly very difficult. For such a fine piece of furniture you think it would come with wood screws or nut and bolt assembly. Packaging was good, no missing parts and in good condition.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Difficult to assemble, some of the fittings did not work correctly due to poorly drilled holes. Legs are too short to clear my toilet so it is resting on the lid. Not sure what I'll do if I need to access the tank! Also unable to install the bottom brace because the connectors face the wall and are inaccessible. Disappointed. It looks nice though- some consolation.
