Customer Questions & Answers

Can I have this item shipped to a store for pickup?

I'd prefer to pick up in store rather than having it dropped off in my house.
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes. I used this method, it worked just fine and it was free. It costs to have it shipped to your house.

Shipping costs

I don't see any where the estimated shipping costs. Can you have it sent to my local store for pick-up?
Asked by: Anonymous
I don't recall the shipping cost but it can be shipped to your local store at no cost. I used this method, works great. Be advised that this unit is heavy. It will fit in back of most SUVs. Get help loading then unload in pieces when you get home.

What are the dimensions of the brace board? My toilet is 29.5" tall, will the unit fit without having to be raised?

Asked by: Anonymous
The front bracer board is 31 inches high off the floor. This should be enough for you unless you have a high lip on your tank cover or if you need to see into your tank for some reason (flapper jam). I had to raise mine up with blocks because I also installed new chair height toilet. I put a long screw into the wall through the back bracer board plus a small spacer board, unit is real stable.

I believe this is only available online, where I live. You could give your local HomeD a call to be sure I guess.

Customer Reviews

Artisan 28 in. W Spacesaver in Light Oak is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Addition and Plenty of Storage The Artisan 28 in Spacesaver in ligh oak is sturdy and provides plenty of storage space. I also have the mirrored wall unit and vanity. The spacesaver was the most difficult to put together. Thanks to the employees at Home Decorators in New Jersey that helped when the instructions for the spacesaver weren't clear. All three pieces fit nicely in my small bathroom and provide all the storage space I need. Wish there was more of a selection for the color granite used for the vanity top. Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Space Saver I purchased the Macintosh Oak color and it's beautiful. It's a nice dark walnut and looks perfect in my bathroom. I was worried it would have too much cherry/red tones but it doesn't. It's a very rich dark brown. So many that I saw on line were either white or Espresso and I really didn't want that. If you are looking for a true brown this is it. As for the product itself it's very sturdy and when it's all done looks and feels like a very expensive piece of furniture. I love it. I am a 35 year old woman and I put it together myself. It took a total of 3 hours. It would have been better to have someone to help, but if you don't it can be done by yourself. That are A LOT of pieces and you need to have your wits about you and be able to read/follow directions. It seems overwhelming when you first lay everything out, but the directions are very exact and therefore pretty easy to follow. Like many others I was not able to install the very bottom cross bar. You don't need it and frankly, I don't know how you would put it over the toilet with it already installed. You would have to put it on last anyway. My advice is skip that and then after you have it over the toilet see if it will even fit with your water supply line and maybe you will add it then. I am considering ordering another one for my powder bathroom but I have a taller toilet in there and I'm not sure it would work/fit over the toilet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be prepared to call the plumber The looks of this are very nice. However installation is another matter due to the bottom brace. After the fact we see people have cut this out but you would think it's needed for stability. We had to take out the toilet to install this. Also your toilet cannot be more than 27 or 28 inches for this cabinet to fit. A lot of new toilets are 30 inches tall. We had to call a plumber to help with the removal and reinstall of the toilet. It is also shorter than I thought it would be. White has the fake woodgrain. Would be nicer in a soild surface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artisan spacesaver is well made and great looking I was impressed how well this item was built. Mostly solid wood and some heavy veneer, not the cheap thin veneer on particle board normally found. The finish was very good and uniform. The pieces were well marked and assembly was straight forward, all pieces fit well and holes lined up. The door and drawers all fit like they were supposed to. I did have to raise the unit up on small blocks because of the tank height of the new toilet but it isn't noticeable. I actually had a broken part/shelf when I unpacked the unit. Customer service recommended ordering a whole other unit rather than that one part. I just took out the part I needed and returned the second box with the bad part. No problem. It took a little bit longer but I was happy in the end. I used the (free) ship to store option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful!!! I could not believe how beautiful this cabinet is after I assembled it. It is NOT pressed wood, it is sturdy wood, it has real glass and sturdy hardware. The Macintosh Oak is the most beautiful color, it brings a look of elegance to my bathroom, I wish I could find kitchen cabinets that are this gorgeous color and this affordable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too short This cabinet looks pretty nice and definitely would have solved my storage problem.... BUT, it is so short that it doesn't fit over my toilet. Legs need to be 6-8 inches longer. Alas, I've fully assembled the item and now it's not returnable. We explored some sort of blocks or something to put under legs to at least make it usable, but a leg split when we tried to drill pilot holes to brace it to block.... Alas, a waste of time and money in my case. I did some research, I have a perfectly normal toilet height - nothing out of ordinary.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful piece of furniture I love this in my Bathroom. It really helped to read other reviews though. If you have a tight space like I do, do not install pieces #8 or #9. Those are the braces at mid-level and bottom of this piece of furniture, if you install those, it will not fit behind your toilet. It's still sturdy without them and just as beautiful. If I had another Bathroom, I'd buy another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Look, but.... We opted to buy these over another over-the-toliet cabinet because it was stylish, hardwood, and more narrow than the others we looked at. One of the things we were trying to figure out before we bought was the height from the floor to the bottom shelf (measurements not included in product description) as we have high toilets. From the look of it we thought it would be ok. NOT! Four inches too low so we can't close the lid to the toilet. Manufacturer does not have extensions, so have to have them made (also sets off the back bottom stabilizer, so it has to be remade as well). Sad thing is we bought 2, so having this work done is cheaper then what it would cost us to send it back! Anyway, nice piece, but if you do not have standard toilets, beware! Hopefully, Home Decorators will start listing the full dimensions of these in the future.
