We ordered this vanity after purchasing a smaller unit for our other bathroom. The small unit looked and worked great, the large unit - not so much. The color of the wood is substantially lighter than pictured and the other unit we purchased. The veneer was pulling off in several places and we had to glue it back down with clamps. Disappointed with the quality - many pieces did not fit together and had to be reworked to assemble. Not a great piece.

This vanity is nice. I selected it because of the style and I was not disappointed. The quality of the counter-top is much better than I expected. It's very nice and substantial. The quality of the wood is not as good as the counter-top, but its equivalent to (if not better than) the quality of many of the vanities you will see at home improvement stores. Our contractor was not able to use the back piece, because the hole was not cut large enough to fit a standard drain. That's ok, though, because the vanity is up against the wall. Would definitely purchase a vanity from Home Decorators Collection again!

We splurged on this vanity thinking it would be well constructed , with high end differences like drawer glides..We received the vanity in a timely manner, but I was disappointed that the drawers did not have drawer glides..they just have bare wood for the track. The cams that come with the cabinet were made of cheap aluminum, which promptly bent when we had to move this vanity in to place. We will have to replace them. The granite top was sealed incorrectly, which gave an uneven shine to portions of the top..will need to be resealed. Overall, on quick glance this looks beautiful, but didn't live up to my expectations for quality construction. Home depot needs to lower the price on this..

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by PJGH Contractor says hard to assemble and parts missing, which had to be purchased locally at extra cost.
Vanity looks nice. Hard to assemble. Parts missing were center piece backing, middle leg and part of one drawer which had to be purchases locally to complete. Right sink had thick break away tabs at drain, that did not break away properly and smoothly and prevented gasket from sealing properly, therefore leaking. Tabs were so thick, it seemed there was risk of actually cracking the sink. Extra work and supplies have corrected the leak. Left sink was fine, break away tabs were thin and broke away smoothly and sealed properly.

We have assembled this cabinet and sink, but have not installed it in the bathroom yet. The boxes came and we had no damage at all. The pieces were wrapped very well and my husband had no problems assembling the pieces. The cabinet is beautiful and will look very much at home in my 1918 house. Also, since the house is so old we only have one small bathroom, (very normal for older houses), so hopefully this cabinet will stand up nicely to all the use and steam. I will post a photo once we install it. I do love this vanity and top is beautiful too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jkwelch Beauiful, Sturdy, real wood!
Even though you have to put this together, it's not a cheap set. We did use wood glue at every assembly point. The vast majority of it is real wood. It's absolutely gorgeous when finished, and very sturdy.

We bought this vanity cabinet in the light oak. It truly looks artisan crafted. We put it in our powder room which now looks professionally done. We completed the look with the Artisan wall cabinet and mirror and bronze fixtures and accessories. The only problem we ran into is that the vanity is made to fit over plumbing coming horizontally through the wall whereas ours comes straight up through the floor. That meant we had to cut two parallel 6" x 2" openings in the bottom of the cabinet to accommodate the plumbing, a minor inconvenience.
