Thinking the light oak would be too light, I ordered the McIntosh Oak. It was darker than I would have preferred, but rather than go through the bother of returning it (it's a very heavy piece that arrives in two boxes) I decided to keep it. Other than that, it's a very attractive, functional piece that totally solves my problem of all of those jackets, ball caps, dog leashes, etc. that accumulate at the front door and drive me crazy! And now I always know where I left my purse/keys, too! The assembly was not difficult but did take my husband and I over two hours - definitely not a project I could have completed alone given the weight (and number) of pieces.

This is a solid piece of furniture! It took me some hours to put it together, but that's only because I was taking my sweet time. I hate cam locks because sometimes they don't turn all the way no matter how hard you try, but overall, the piece still came together in a solid and sturdy manner. I did not use the stickers to cover the cam locks b/c the stickers would've looked more cheesy on than off. I also think for the price, the back of this piece should've had a proper finish, since not everyone will have the back flush against their wall. I have mine placed as a small divider and the unfinished backing is a bit of an eyesore. I plan to cover it with wallpaper or something. Other than that, as I mentioned, this is a solid piece of furniture and even the small bench still holds quite a bit.

I am a huge fan of Home Decorators. I have purchased many things and been very satisfied.
This was not the case with the Artisan Hall Tree. The design seemed simple enough but then I ran into trouble right away when pieces didn't align and the fasteners were not securing.
I have put many pieces of furniture together and this was the worst. It required two people holding and guessing to a very average result. Don't waste your money on this product.

We have looked at many pieces of furniture, given we just moved into our new home 6 months ago.
We needed an entry-way hall tree...this piece is PERFECT. Color is nice. Quality is all wood.
Took a while to assemble, but overall...
Nice addition to our space.
More shopping with HDC in the near future!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TnDoc This little cabinet has been perfect for the space where it was needed. It comes with 2 coat hooks and I replace these with 3 antique ones that I had on hand, as we needed extra space.

I posted a negative review of this product a couple of weeks ago because there weren't any assembly instructions delivered or available online for it.
Two weeks later, they finally posted the PDFs, but subsequently removed my negative review and my account completely. I
I had to completely sign up again in order to post this review. I am almost certain that it and my account will be removed soon.
Apparently the Home Decorator's Club feels that it's really difficult to admit when a mistake is made.. I'm satisfied with this product, but it's questionable if you will ever read this review due to the way this site is managed. They like to delete reviews which aren't favorable to them.
We'll see how long this honest review is available.

The box was delivered without the hardware kit, and the side posts are cheap laminate that were peeling off. I received the package over a week ago and still have not received a single screw to assemble.

Mirror came with a crack, but given how much work it was just to unpack the 2 boxes it came in I did not call in. Wood on inside also had a damaged area. I have put many things together over the years this was on the harder side to do - especially by yourself. Two of the cam bolt holes were such that there was no way to screw them in so there are slight gaps at those spots but I don't think noticeable to anyone but me if they do not look closely.
