The drawer could be suitable for a wireless computer keyboard - but really it is not set up for housing a keyboard. The desk is best for writing the old fashioned way, or for use with a laptop!

The Home Decorators Collection Brexley Chestnut Writing Desk has a storage drawer, not a keyboard drawer. The drawer front does not fold down for easy access to the keyboard.

It is pretty sturdy. Depends on how big your fish tank is. A smally fish tank should be fine.

It depends, How big will the fish tank? Also, I wouldn't recommend doing it because the desk is wood and if you get water on it, you'll get those white marks on it.

It would depend on the size of the fish tank. 10 or 20 gal ok but bigger might not be. I don't think I would stand on it. It is very sturdy but I just wouldn't chance it tipping over. I don't know I guess most of the stands for them are not as sturdy as the desk I guess I would wonder if the wood would bow eventually.

It is a pretty sturdy desk so it should be fine. I would say 50-100 lbs would be no problem.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty desk, but expect manufacturing defects. A pretty desk, sturdy and easy to assemble. For the most part it's a really great buy for the price. But, the lamination on the edges of the desk was slightly damaged out of the box, you can see where the manufacturer "touched it up" and it is rough on the underside edge, so it catches and tears off. I already have a few unsightly strips where the laminate has come off. It won't look too bad with a little touch up to match the color (it's lighter underneath) but I expect this will continue to happen over time until the edges of the table are all ragged. Had they done a better job on laminating the edge, this would be a fantastic buy. Still a good desk, with the caveat that it's not going to look as nice as you might like. January 23, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Damaged Bought this for our laundry/utility room and it was damaged on two corners (see picture) Definitely not worth the $180 full price. Didn't want to get on the return merry go round, so sanded the corners and touched them up with a wood pen. Would recommend if the price was $50 on sale. May 29, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality I ordered 2 of these desks. They were both damaged when arrived. Product was poor quality and not durable. October 10, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good for the price this table is a steal, easy to fix and looks nice.I loved the piece- there was a small piece chipped off when it was delivered- but not enough for me to return it :). The size is optimum for a laptop or two and works best for a modest sized room. The chair you use with this desk will need to be atleast 14-15 inches in height (floor to chair seat meansurement) March 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific desk! Love this! Great value for the $. Easy to assemble. Excellent quality. The chestnut finish is a rich color. Having a drawer is a practical feature. The matching bookcase should arrive today. August 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy I bought this desk because of it's simple design and advertised size. I have a cubby space exactly 47 1/2 inches wide and have been looking for a desk that size. Everything I found was 48 inches. I was pleased when found this one because it was advertised to be 47 1/2 inches. Well it's not. Mine was 47 5/8 inches wide, 1/8 too wide. No to worry. I just cut off 1/8 inch only to find the top is not solid wood. It's heavy like wood , but it's a composite substance. Still, no big deal since the wall hides the edge I cut off. It's not fancy but definitely has a nice appearance and it's a bargain of a price. January 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect I have gone through more desks than any human should! I have never been completely happy with any of them until now. I recently took the nursery over and made it my office and this furniture is awesome. So easy to put together and very classic looking. I purchased the desk, file cabinet and chair. I will be going back for bookshelves. I do not want to miss out an any pieces!! Do not be intimidated with the assembly. I put all three pieces together in less than 2 hours. The file cabinet (which I was most afraid of) was very easy to assemble. The hard parts (drawer slides) were already put on. I used the tools given and didn't even need to think about getting others. January 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price, but less than perfect condition This is a good price for a nice solid wood desk, although the condition out of the box was less than perfect. There were a few noticeable nicks/chips in the wood. June 23, 2015
