Customer Questions & Answers

How can I raise the vanity a couple of inches?

My in-wall drain is at exactly the same height as the rail below the opening in the back of the vanity. I could cut it out but don't want to, as that might affect the stability of the unit. Is there a way to artfully raise the vanity a couple of inches to give me clearance? Something like a bed riser in simple wood or black plastic might work but those are far too big and bulky for the vanity legs. Alternatively, if I cut the rail how will that affect the vanity? Would I need to add some structural support?
Asked by: RJA
To throw out a bit more creative response and think outside the box, as you said, it seems there should be a way to raise the vanity or modify it! I did a basic search on the internet for furniture leg extenders and several options popped up - wooden couch or chair legs that screwed in, some had base plate options, others where all metal legs that already had a plate to attach, standard levelers (although two inches may be too much to extend.) Buy a two by four, cut two pieces the width of the legs and the depth of the vanity, stain to match. Attach it to the front and back of both sides - kind of creating a u shaped leg for both sides - I hope that is described well enough to convey my meaning. Or, if the legs don't seem like a good option due to design or if you do not think it would be stabil enough then cut the back brace out and reinforce above and below with new bracing. Hope you sorted through something and didn't have to return the vanity or redo all of the plumbing!

What color of toilet would look best with this?

Asked by: Thrilz
Most toilet colors are white. However, if we had different colors to choose from, I would suggest a color close to chrome, bronze, gold of jade green colors.

Customer Reviews

Briscoe 31 in. W x 22 in. D Vanity in Espresso with Glass Top/Copper Basin is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2nd time around and still no good I ordered this once and there were issues with the finish on the wood (cracking and bad touch up job). So I returned it at the store and and ordered it again. Now the white grout is discolored and not white. It looks like the stain finish on the wood bled into the grout and changed it multiple different colors. My wife loves the vanity and I'm tired of messing around with it so we are keeping it as is. For the price we paid for this I would not recommend it due to the defects in craftsmanship.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installation issue This vanity replaced a cabinet with a traditional sink. The cross beam on the back side of the new vanity impeded the p trap and angle stops, so it required some unplanned plumbing. The basin ring is chrome, rather than bronze, so I purchased a new ring. Have not finished repairing the dry wall, so it's not installed. However, it still look gorgeous with the matching mirror and oil rubbed faucets.

Between the carpenters, painters & plumber it was scratched & dinged before I ever got to use it. I would still recommend it tho. Creatively designed & very unique.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in condition at arrival This is a beautiful vanity with gorgeous mosaic tiles in copper, gold and silver metalic colors and a matching metallic copper bowl. However, I had to return it because it arrived with dings in three of the vanity legs, dark wood stain that bled into the white mosaic tile grout and messy grout that had not been properly wiped away before it set. Also, there were black hairs that had set into the tile as well. I think the stain and grout fixes would have been easy to correct myself but the dings in the wood would not. Underlying wood is very light in color, stain is very dark, making the dings very prominent. Also, when you pay this amount for something new it ought to arrive in pristine condition. I returned it to Home Depot without any trouble at all and replaced it with something slightly different.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks nice overall, but a few things less than perfect. Love the overall look. A few irritating details: 1. The side of the drawer has the paint chip off easily, showing a light wood on the edge of the drawer. 2. The knobs are a dark tarnished bronze, while the sink stopper is a bright chrome. Neither matches the brushed nickel bamboo faucet that I bought to go with it exactly. Perhaps I will buy some new knobs for it. 3. The drawer is not a full drawer - it has a cutout for the plumbing at the back, so some storage is compromised. I don't know why they couldn't design the fake drawer to function as a real one, or even as a flip down draw to hold a hair brush on the back of the panel. There is some wasted space there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful Very beautiful, if the drainage from my house was centered installation would have been easy. Instructions are useless but I figured it out. Now I need to find matching tiles to use as a accent.
