Honestly, I had HD install this product for me but it looked fairly easy. The installer was a very nice man & he also did my kitchen & bathroom tile. I've only had one problem with the flooring & I am going to chalk it up to bad luck. I dropped a coffee cup and it just hit the edge of one of the seams. It chipped a 1/8 inch chip into the groove of the tongue & groove portion. I had bought a stain marker for repairing furniture scratches & it matched perfectly. You can't see the chip unless you really inspect the seams. Overall, very durable & super easy to clean. I bought the upgraded padding which is made by Nike, same material as sneakers. It's just perfect. A little more expensive but for the 12mm coating well worth it over bargain brands. On sale or clearance sometimes isn't best.

Our contractor installed this flooring in our den in 4 hours. The result is a beautiful floor that looks just like wood. So far it has not scratched, even though I have been moving lots of furniture and boxes around. We converted this den into a bedroom,

This floor is absolutely STUNNING. Far exceeded our expectations. These floors were a replacement of thin, light, smooth pergo planks and we wanted something with a darker finish and a wood grain feel. These will be going throughout our entire house and I cannot wait to purchase more.
Warning - 1 whole box was damaged with each plank having damages in the corners. Fortunately, we used these for the interior of our closet so you can't even see the blemishes.

Floors are a beautiful color.
However it scratches so easily. The same day it was installed scratches began appearing. We do not have any animals that are on the floor. Just normal wear from a family of 6. It's awful. I'm so upset we spent our money and time in this floor. Even my 4 year old notices all the scratches on our floor. It's awful.
Don't do it! I don't usually do reviews but I'm devastated and don't want anyone to make the same decision.

I never put in flooring before and I'm doing this by myself so a little aprehensive. After looking a few you tube videos, barrating the tool guy at Home Depot and getting the right tools (miter saw, jig saw and floor kit) I was on my way. Carpet came up in like 15 minutes including tacking and staples, easy day so far. Mentioning here that I did only 398 SQft, hallway with 4 doors, foyer 2 doors and living room. The doors were pretty tricky but you tube video helped out and after the first door everything was a breeze. Advice: Follow directions, don't deviate from directions in package! I listened to a couple of people and started with the longest wall instead of doorways and after 10 rows took a measurement to check levelness on both sides and realized I would have to shear boards down to 2.5" right before transitioning into dining, bad Idea since you want the shearing down and adjustment boards to be against a wall where their not so noticeable. Dissassemble and begin in hallway with all the doorways working my way out to the bigger area. Went by pretty easy and fast. By myself doing this only a few hours every day after work it took me three days with one full 6hour day. Not bad for a first timer I would say. I'm on the 3rd floor of a condo building and so I didn't use the thin underlayment. I have plywood, soundboard made up of some kind of compressed material so for underlayment I used 1/4" cork underlayment puchased online from lowes for soundproofing only because I couldn't get it anywhere else. Kills the sound pretty good! walking sound is deadened and haven't heard any complaints from the neighbor as of yet. feels good to. Boards came in good shape, no chips or breakage I've read about in other reviews so that was good! when cutting boards I put blue tape on the board, marked it and then cut so I didnt' have any chipping of the laminate when cutting. Saw blade used was carbide 100 something and it worked pretty good throughout. Jigsaw was a big help and an awsilating saw for cutting the door moulding. At finish- I love my floor, have tools I may use in the future, and can say I learned how to do something new! Hey if a 67 year old woman can do it by herself than so can I right...Holly

We could not be happier with the finished product and our (Home Depot) installer did an amazing job! I would highly recommend these floors!

We first bought this flooring in 2013 to install in our kitchen. It held up very well, and we love the look -- it has a slight gloss which blends very nicely with the adjacent hardwood floors in the next room. It was very easy to install as well. HOWEVER... We just bought a pallet of this same flooring to install in our newly finished basement. And it's NOT the same as the Cotton Valley Oak we bought in 2013! Sure, it's the same color, pattern, thickness, etc. But the slightly glossy finish that we liked so much has been replaced with the standard matte-finish look that most cheap laminates have. We're so disappointed! We still installed it, since we didn't want to deal with returning an entire pallet of flooring. But it shows every little smudge and just has a much cheaper look than the older Cotton Valley Oak in our kitchen. We're so confused as to why this product was apparently changed without warning!
