I like the blinds and I will definitely buy more but just be careful installing them so that they don't come apart on you. The old blinds I bought from Home Depot years back have a string running through the center of each louvre and that keeps them together- it also makes shortening them harder. These new ones only have a string on the outsides that grab a little groove and if you tilt one side up or if you are not careful then many slates will come out and you will have to spend some extra time getting it all back together.
Another advantage to the new system is that it is a piece of cake to replace slates at any height. So save your extras incase one gets damaged. The dog and the person that cleans them are always to blame for this but it is well worth keeping them both around.

Easy to install and they look great. I'd decide to redo all my windows in these blinds.

I ordered these blinds online, two for the big bungalow windows in my dining room. These are actually the third blinds of the same brand and color that I bought through Home Depot. The difference for these is I ordered inside mounts. My only qualm -- and I think it's important enough to knock off a star -- is the actual size they send. I measure well and have ordered real wood blinds from another company and the fit was perfect. On these, you measure inside and the makers take off one-half inch off the width. I guess so that is to assure they will fit. But think about it, for something that must fit in your window totally, a half inch is a lot. I close them and see a gap that to me, is a bit too big.
I think they ought to trim off 1/4" -- that is plenty off plus leaving the blind to fit well inside the window.
The other wood blinds I bought online at another company took off 1/4" and that worked perfectly.
Otherwise, these blinds are lovely, the color Golden Oak is rich brown that has a subtle gold cast to the color. It is a nice neutral shade also, and matches my others which are golden oak.
Installation was easy. My windows are 29" wide so I only needed two brackets each side (no center to worry about) and I drilled the holes first, then got the long screws in and they were good to go. I did use the valance and that adds a nice look.
I replaced ancient wood blinds that used a wand to open and close the blinds, and eventually those wands broke off, so having a cord to open and close is so much better.
Everything came in the box, but they provided only two screws per each bracket. I ended up using some screws I had because I think it's better to have a third, two in the side, one in the top. The screws also are flat-head, which I think is better because less chance of stripping the screw.
The blinds are great at blocking out the light. They are inexpensive, but don't look cheap.
Other item in the box are the two little pieces that are supposed to go on the side of the valance. I think those are intended to be used if you hang your blinds outside the window frame. My blinds don't fit entirely flush inside the window, perhaps a half inch sticks out. But you can easily trim those side pieces if you need to adjust to cover the side of the valance.
Shipping -- they arrived in a week, well packaged. I would like to see these in more colors. Yes I would recommend these to others.

These blinds turned out to be much better looking than online. I am so happy that they were easy for my husband to install. I had to buy them and put them up quick before a dinner party and they did the trick.
