The shades will not snap into place. I'm having the same issue as Molly (see 12/8/16 question). I called the 1-800 # listed but the options are all regarding appliances. Is there an issue with incorrect brackets being included?
Asked by: AL
Not as easy to snap in as other cellular blinds, but with some finger strength you cane force in. I did not find these blinds as easy to snap in with a sharp smack as other brands.

We just purchased theses blinds and cannot seem to get the blinds snapped into the brackets. They seem to be a bit too small

Could we be doing something wrong? we tried to snap them in before we screwed them in and we couldn't get them to fit that way either. We did that approach to be sure we had the brackets correct and per the instructions we are doing it correctly but they are not fitting.....

Rgregoryii, we are with you! Have wasted the better part of 2 days trying to get these in AFTER having to return to the store because one was cut an inch shorter than the rest. (Explained to us that it must have been a restock and already cut. I guess they don't remeasure before or after they cut..) We measured and spaced brackets perfectly. Day two, we FINALLY got one to snap in and then wasted another hour on the second. It's infuriating. I am returning them and spending the extra $ on Bali brand. Worst design ever!

My shades did not come with instructions so for cutting. Where can I get instructions?

Asked by: Sandy
You should have had a sales associate at Home Depot cut them for you. They have the needed shear. I am sure if you go to the customer service desk, they will have some one shear them to the size you desire.

The one thing I should mention is that you HAVE to make sure the back of the shade is in the back when you try to snap it into the brackets. The back of the head rail has a TINY ridge that runs along the rear edge (the ridge is about the size of a 0.5 mm pencil lead). That is what snaps into the bracket. I didn't notice the ridge and took about 2 hours trying to get the shade to snap into the bracket. Then I got out my magnifying glass and looked closely at the diagram, finally seeing the tiny ridge. I turned the shade around and it snapped right in. The second shade took no time at all because I turned it in the right direction to start with. It would be helpful if there was a removable sticker showing which is the front or back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from complete privacy and so elegant looking, easy to install We hung these on every window (14 in all of various sizes) In our brand new home. We love them so much. Most are mounted inside, we had ours cut 0.3 inches less than actual opening. Smaller gaps than the usual 0,5 inches that they will cut there. Dont go much tighter than that, or the end caps wont fit onto the blinds. Installation was quite easy, except snapping the blind into the top brackets can be tricky, they better be properly aligned, be careful to drill the holes perfectly square, else snapping in is tough. We set back the outer holes 1" from the exterior of the frame. With this Our blinds are recessed into the frame about 1/2".

They work amazingly well. See pictures. I live on the second level and there is a street light bulb literally 6 feet away from my bed at eye level. First picture is at night, second picture is at 10am the next morning. DARK!!

It blocks sunlight as needed. The only thing that I had problem was installation process. It requires certain skills to hang it correctly. I spend about 2 hours trying to hang first panel. Note that I already installed similar product from another manufacturer at least 4 times in my life, so I am not completely novice in this area. Good news - after mounting first panel I developed some skills and was able to mount second panel in just 10 minutes. I hope the mounting hardware could be re-designed in user-friendly way. Before that I can recommend it to lucky people or to skilled professionals.

Now that the blinds are in place they certainly have met all my expectations: cut to order perfectly, room darkening as advertised, glides up and down easily and they look great! However, they took awhile to install. Previous reviews alerted us to have to\the two lines on header face outward, which we did. What helped with the installation was opening the blind to its full length and then installing! Would not work until then and we tried everything!! Better instructions are needed mentioning the front and back of the blinds and having the blinds opened when installing. This was an inside installation.

I would have rated them higher if the mounting brackets were less balky. It was a bit difficult to get the shades snapped in, and required some adjusting of the brackets. Also, you need to cut the shades a full 5/8 inch less than the opening if you want to use the pieces supplied to finish the top and bottom rails, however, doing so, lets more light in. I opted to cut the shades with just 1/4 of an inch "ease" on each side to maximize the light blocking. I am not using the pieces that finish the top and bottom rails, so the shade, while working exactly as they should in terms of light blocking, look slightly unfinished. How to proceed is your call, and I prioritized light blocking. These shades are in a nursery, and the room is used daily during the daylight for naps. They would get five stars if the mounting brackets were just a bit less balky, and if the finishing caps for the top and bottom rails added less width to the shade. I also add that these are very inexpensive, yet do not look cheap. They look like shades that cost hundreds more.

The blind itself is wonderful--works perfectly, and blocks the light out well. My complaint is with the flimsy brackets they come with. The blind is supposed to snap into them, but they are not sturdy and they bend. Once bent, there is no hope of using them with the blind. We ended up screwing the blinds directly into the window molding and not using them at all instead. The quality of the hardware is terrible, even though the blinds themselves are perfect and I love how easily they go up and down.
