Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bar Stool Frame Basically easy to assemble, except the folding metal piece had to really be stepped on with a hard sole shoe to put into place. Once the foot rest is on, chair is not foldable and the foot rest, once assembled feels flimsy because it is held by a screw on 1 side and the other side is just a peg in the hole. I got the black frame, but the metal pieces are gold, would've been nice to be all black for uniformity. The only tool I needed was a screw driver which was good. All-in-all I am still happy with the purchase and it is a beautiful, well produced product. The real review will have to be made after multiple uses over time as I just got it and is brand new! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Director's Chairs These chairs were for a birthday present and seem to be pretty sturdy. However, we had a hard time getting the chair to completely open up. I had to stand on the clasps to get it to open. Now we don't think we will be able to close them for transport. They had some scratches which I fixed by using black paint. It would have been too much of a pain to send them back because they would have had scratches somewhere else. Also, they are not painted evenly. For our purposes, they are fine but I wouldn't put them in my house -- they are for my son's apartment. The steps are also iffy for closing. May 29, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Wood I purchased the director's wood frame collection during the end of summer sale because of the different possibilities it had to offer. Even though it has a movie set look, it is perfect for cottage homes. I can also replace the picnic table benches for the director's chairs for a totally different look and feel. They are perfect for weddings parties and picnics in the park. The striped canvas seat and back gives it the cottage beach look and feel, and the solid seat and back will give it a more tonal look and feel. December 31, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Directors bar stool frame I wanted this stool to take to my son's bowling competitions for school. There is limited seating at the bowling alleys and I wanted something that raised me and that I could sit during these meets. I searched for a reasonably priced stool but yet looked like it was durable. I am absolutely satifisfied with this chair, it is made of good quality and made to be compact. The only thing that I wish was made differently is the step you rest your feet is not made to go on and off easily (you need to screw it on) but love the chair. January 21, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by accent furniture Purchased the chair for our pool/game room and it's a very nice compliment to our decor. It's sort of a resting chair for players waiting their turn at billiards. We like the varied colors offered so that we can match it with the current furnitures in the room. We've had it for only a few weeks so we can't comment on product longevity. We would recommend to friends and family. June 17, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Outdoor Value It's usually impossible to find outdoor bar stools that are both durable in the hot FL sun/frequent rains and inexpensive. These chairs fit the bill on both counts. The seat is wide enough to be comfortable (even for "large" guests) and the foot rest adds to sitting comfort. They might not fold too easily, but since we don't plan to store them, this won't be an issue for us. February 11, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Teacher Gift This is the 2nd directors chair I have bought as a teacher gift from the class. While it is more expensive than the ones you'll find at Pier 1 or World Market, it will last more than one school year but the others will not. Their canvas pieces are great too. Total gift cost was close to $100 with shipping and personalization (done locally) but well worth the $$$. May 26, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bar Stool Alternative!! I don't like sitting on bar stools. Never have, never will. Shopped and shopped for stools. When I saw these, I thought they looked great, so I ordered them. They are as pictured, easy to assemble with seat covers, and great to sit on. I would recommend them highly to anyone. Think outside the box and don't have bar stools like everyone else!!! December 1, 2011
