Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Xtinagirl Beautiful, but kind of noisy!
This flooring is absolutely beautiful! We installed it throughout our home in every room but the bedrooms and bathrooms. The only downfall we have noticed is that it's often noisy. When the home is warm it's pretty quiet when you walk on it, but in the early morning hours when our interior temperature is cooler it crackles when you walk on it. I believe there is a LOT more expansion and contraction in this product, which is the case in any wood or laminate product but this one seems to be exceptionally noisy. We used a medium grade underlayment liner so maybe a more sound deadening one would be better. Also, it recommends that you don't have any runs longer than 30' without the use of transition strips and we didn't want to do that because of our layout. That may have contributed to the movement and noise. And like anything, inspect each plank for any blemishes before installing it. Be careful with scraping things acrossed it. Just like a wood product, it will show if you aren't careful. Overall, this is the most beautiful flooring I've seen and everyone who comes to our home loves it.

I could not be happier with these floors. We're just laying them now, so I can't speak to their longevity [yet, and I will revise my review if need be later]. For the price these are an amazing steal. They feel like real wood to the feet, they look absolutely gorgeous, and were easy to install. The color was stellar, and the distressing looks so rustic and just great. I couldn't be happier! [Don't mind the powder in the images, that's from taping and wipes right up.]

Easy to install. Lays down one piece at a time. No need to click a whole row together and then strugle to place the whole row. Nice look, 12mm thick is a great quality and value. Only down side is that there were a lot of pieces I was unable to use as they were warped the long way and unable to click onto place. Not a big deal though, I simply returned the pieces that were faulty. I'm a contractor, laying floors for years would definatly use again. Layed it in my own home covering over 800 sq.ft. Its been down for over a year now.

This floor is amazing. It looks rustic and real for a laminate product. We chose this flooring because we have three large dogs. After six months, the floor has no sign of damage or scratches from the dogs. We hired Home Depot installers to do the installation. They did an amazing job and said this was one of the better products that they have put down. We had several different subfloors that they laid the floor, and you can't tell one bit. I highly recommend this product for the price. My only complaint is a creaking/cracking noise when you walk on it. Very typical of this type of flooring.

First, I must say this is one of the most realistic and beautiful looking laminate floors I have seen in a distressed wood look. That is why we purchased it. Second, I am a professional contractor - a home builder/remodeler of 30 years. I have seen laminate floors progress over the years in look and quality and we have a lot of great options today. However, this has got to be the noisiest flooring I have ever installed. This floor is worse then a box of rice-crispies, when it comes to snap, crackle, and pop. We installed close to 800 sq.ft., some on concrete slab floor, some on plywood sub-floor. All surfaces were preped with a good quality underlayment too. Some areas are perfectly flat, some areas could probably have used a little leveling. If the noise was restricted to just the areas that need a little leveling I would be ok with that, as I completely understand the mechanics of this type of flooring. But this is not the case, it is noisy all over, and unacceptably noisy. Now let me explain - its not the click-click noise that is normal when you walk across laminate flooring - it sounds as if the interlocking joints are going to fail. Which brings up another point, I have had a considerable amount of end joints actually fail. Again, I am not an amateur, this is a professional opinion. I would definitely have to seriously think twice about purchasing a comparable (or any other at this point) Home Decorators Flooring product from HD again. If you do a little research you will find I am not the only one to have this problem, unfortunately I did not find this information out until it was too late. I hope this helps some others - Thanks for reading!!

We absolutely LOVE this floor. We installed it in an upstairs hallway as a test run for the entire upstairs. This was a DIY project. First time I've worked with laminate, so I can't speak to the end locking features that competitors use. I will say that the ends of this flooring simply overlap and rely on the previous (offset) and next (offset) row to clamp the ends in place. That's why the manufacturer recommends gluing the ends in the first and last rows. I personally didn't have to glue any of the ends...they all lay nice and flat.
I found the first row to be a challenge...it didn't take me long to give up on trying to maintain edge gap to the long wall. Instead, I put three rows together (paying attention to the clearances at the ends, because I was cutting for length). Then, the weight of the 19 foot X 18 inch section kept things from scooting around as I added pieces, so I was able to dial in the edge gap then and it stayed in place.
A word of caution about transitions and T moldings. HD carried these items, although I don't believe they're from the same manufacturer. The ones I found (and bought) at HD are only good up to 12 mm thickness. Quick math says that 12mm flooring plus 3mm underlayment = potential problems. I suppose I could've installed the t molding track on top of the underlayment...maybe that would've worked. Instead, I went to the other home improvement store and bought a product that is good up to 15mm.
All in all, very pleased with how it turned out, and we're now planning on doing the rest of our upstairs in the same product. See attached before and after photos...obviously there were some other changes going on, but it really did transform the space.

This flooring looks good. That's why I bought it. It does not stay together though. After laying three rows, it was already separating on the long joints. I really wasted my time with it.
