Relax the look of a room with the calm and comforting Home Decorators Collection Driftwood Beveled Reed Weave Roman Shade. Environmentally friendly, semi-private textured natural shades (also called bamboo blinds, bamboo shades, or woven woods) stylishly filter light and protect your furniture from fading. The rich wood tones of natural shades are complimentary to jute and sisal rugs as well as many hardwood floor and furniture finishes. Natural shades are textured window blinds that are available in many different colors and styles. They are popular window treatments for coastal and beach properties, lakeside or country cottages, and traditional or metropolitan homes. For additional privacy or neutral backing, you can attach a fabric privacy liner to the back side of natural shades. Another option for additional privacy is to outside mount natural shades, then inside mount an inexpensive white black out roller blind. Fabric privacy liners and black out roller blinds both can be purchased on homedepot.com.

We do not advise cutting the width of the blind, without the proper manufacturing tools and if not cut correctly the hardware in the headrail could be damaged. We are sorry to advise that this will have to be done at your own discretion. All warranties are voided if modifications are done.

These blinds are easy to install, attractive, and suit the room where they are being used. Note: they do not provide privacy. Measure twice using a steel tape measure. You will have to adjust the cord length unless the blinds will be opened to their full length.

This was a good solution for my bathroom because it provided the light filtering we wanted without totally blacking out the room. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the last row of string that weaves the slats together came out while we were installing the shade and also because it is annoying that the shade easily goes at an angle when pulling it up and down, even though I really tried to painstakingly tie the strings together perfectly so this wouldn't happen. Just a Type-A rant. Color was spot on, definitely driftwood. Installation seemed simple enough, though I was only there observing and passing tools. My husband is handy but by no stretch an expert and it looks pretty nice. The only other downside I can think of is that the shade is somewhat delicate and might not be the best window solution for a household with small kids.

The shade was very easy to install in my kitchen window. It has a rustic look to it and I like the gray color. It compliments my new slate colored appliances. I definitely recommend the shade.

I love the style and color of these shades. Look great in my beachy home. One issue was with the string placement on the shades. I had to move the tiny hoops on the back of one of the shades and readjust to match the other. Besides that a great value.

We looked everywhere for shades with a gray tone and these fit the bill. In our last house we spent thousands on high and window treatments but these look just as good for a fraction of the cost. The taupe tones work well with anything. Very soothing.
