Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JenRio Looks very expensive
I needed to purchase four matching tall planters to provide a bit of privacy on a patio without spending a fortune. I purchased these and could not be more pleased. The quality is solid and they look far more expensive than they cost. They were delivered quickly and packaged extremely well. Excellent buy.

This planter looks great and can really make a statement in your decor. It is not heavy and I love the water reservoir feature. I will buy again!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Nice quality planter.
I bought it to grow a tomato. There's so much disease and root-knot nematodes here that I thought maybe getting them away from the ground would help.
It's a tall planter giving the roots lots of room to grow downward, which I THINK gives it an advantage over my wider shallower planters?
Plus it has a cavity in the bottom that acts as a reservoir and a hole that avoids overfilling during our hard rains.
I worry about the color though, mine is black, and with the Florida UV I can easily imagine it hitting about 150F inside about 3 PM. Well, maybe not quite that bad but you get the idea, black absorbs heat, which is NOT a good thing, at least not in the southern half of the country. I suppose I'll eventually paint it, until then I just cloth-pinned a white shower curtain around it. Not pretty but that's not what I bought it for. :)
BTW, when I bought one, it was $49.95 with free shipping for the 27 1/2 inch tall one. And I had planned on buying more as I could afford to do so. Now they're $124. I won't buy more at that price, my next tomato planter will be... ??? maybe a galvanized trash can. :)
If you need stylish, need to impress, money is no object, get one, it is a really nice planter.
However, if you're goal is functionality and "pretty" isn't important, you can do a lot better value wise, even without resorting to a trash can. :)

The product looks amazing, weathers well. Check you product well prior to planting one of my planters was cracked down the side and it had been superglued. I had to take my plants out to return it.
The return process was not the easiest either- I had to order a new planter for $ 124.00 then when it arrived 4 days later the catalog that was sent with it had the everyday price listed as $ 99.00 and it was on sale for $79.00. Home Depot would not give me the sale price... Said they can't price adjust. Pretty frustrated with that piece of the process!
But the planters are beautiful.
