My dad put these chairs together for me and said they were easy. The only complaint is the allen wrench that comes with it didn't fit. Luckily, he had one that did. The chairs seem sturdy and look very nice

I bought two for a conversation corner of the living room. Very nice to look at once they were all assembled. The assembly was straight forward, instruction being only 3 steps. But the bolts that connect the seats and backs are SOOO hard to get through the holes in the seats to match up with pre-installed treading in the backs, because (after much struggle and later analysis) (1) the seat and back meet at an angle slightly off 90 degrees (2) the bolts go in at a slight off angles again (3) small wood pieces being left in the pre-installed threading if the holes were not carefully examined and cleaned out before hand. All these cause the bolts some terrible, terrible time finding their catch on the threads for connection. Besides, the Allen wrench supplied was difficult to use (1) in tight spots preventing full 360 degree turning (2) with very tight hexagon shaped fit on bolt caps/heads. I think I spent a good 15 minutes trying to get all the bolts to thread in, and another 15 minutes to tighten each bolt with the Allen wrench. And that's for just one chair. The second one was equally difficult.
Sitting down in the chairs themselves made me realize I would really prefer chairs with arm rests. May be the seat is too deep for my shorter legs, or the back is too low for my head/should to rest on, I just don't feel comfortable in them. In the end, I think I bought something for looking good in the living room, but not get used daily because they are just not comfortable to sit in.
I bought many things online from Home depot with great experience and result before. Now my conclusion after this is: upholstered furniture should be tried on in person. If you want something that looks good, but don't really want people to sit around for long, these are inexpensive chairs to get.
