Answer:
Agree with the prior review; you could, but it wouldn't look right. It would need some kind of a bronze cap to hide the wiring for the light kit.

Answer:
Not really. Wires arw left exposed and there is no cover option. I bought it 5 days ago. I mounted it today, but the motor is damaged. It will try to rotate left and right and get stuck... I checked cables and switches but nothing worked.. I tried the motor on its own by adapting a plug into a wall and did the same erratic thing... Hope this answer helps

Answer:
Yes. The wall switch will provide power to the fan. Then you have the option with the fan remote to select whether you want the light on/off or fan motor on/off.

Answer:
Yes, as long as you use a 3/4" diameter rod. I'd suggest the new bronze finish from Home Depot. That matched the fan hardware perfectly.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great DC-powered fan This looks to be a very well-made fan - DC motor, real wood blades, nice finish. The DC motor seems to have many advantages - much lighter so install was easy, completely silent, and uses about 1/3 the energy of an AC-powered fan. Only disappointment is the 75 watt halogen bulb - it's not that bright, gets surface-of-the-sun hot, and uses 2-3 times the energy of the DC motor. Why use a DC motor to have an extremely efficient fan and then not use an efficient bulb??? It's not a deal-breaker - ordered an LED bulb with which to replace it. Overall, very happy with purchase. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fan of the fan, but not the light/remote It's an ok fixture. Not happy with the dim bulb. Nor is the bulb a typical bulb. Same with the battery for the remote, not a standard battery. If you have a dimmable switch it will be rendered useless.must be changed standard switch,or hard wired. Motor is extremely quiet, blades move a lot of air.that is the highlight. The appearance is modern and well made. October 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love my fan! The fan was a little difficult to assemble - I had a difficult time getting the blades properly aligned for the screws. Other than that the fan looks fantastic in the living room. The remote works great, the 6 different speeds are nice. It's also nice that you can change the direction of the fan with the remote instead of flipping a switch on the fan itself. I'm not a huge fan of the light that it comes with, it's pretty yellow but I don't use it often enough to really pay attention. It is very quiet. Worth the wait for it to come back in stock. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy breezy This is by far the best fan in the house. Easy installation, cool look, DC motor and not the forget it throws lot of air down. I got it on sale and it was worth the money. I would recommend getting a led bulb instead of the factory bulb. October 25, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wobbleing fan Why does every ceiling fan wobble. Can only use speeds 1 and 2 September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fortson 60 in. fan very nice and quiet fan, very functional with a very unique look September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful fan. Hand carved blades are fantastic. Beautiful fan. Hand carved blades are fantastic. Easy to assemble and install. Light is a little narrow rather than widespread. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fan completes the guest room! Needed a ceiling fan for our newly remodeled guest room. Wanted something a little edgy but with wood. There are many gorgeous fans out there when you step away from the traditional styles, but all the ones I liked were $450- $800 which I didn't want to spend. Then I came across this one and loved it. I expected a high price tag but this is a super price point! I ordered it immediately, just had it installed today and absolutely love it. It completes the room. It looks much more expensive than it was. It has a remote control also. The fan has six speed settings, and a light switch. The light doesn't emit a very bright light but I didn't need that as I have two lamps on nightstands. Fan is quiet too. August 25, 2015
