This rug was a disappointment. I can't used the beater bar on the vacuum to clean this rug as it pulls the loops out of the backing Even using just the suction I have to go back and pull the loops back through the binding. If it weren't for that it would be a very nice rug.
It did come well packaged and laid out flat right away. The color has more red in it than the picture shows but blends with the darker maroon accents in my living room.

I love how it looks. Excellent price for a good quality rug.

I purchased this rug a few years ago and loved it! Red for my kitchen and it was great. Then I spilled grease on it and wanted the exact one again. The catalog has the same name and color so I thought I was getting the same rug but no. The color is definitely not red but rust. The natural fiber is different from the first one. Its loopy but soft enough to walk on. Ill keep it because it's OK. Disappointed :(

i'm using a small version of this rug under a bench in my entryway. i was worried about the color since monitors and magazines often look entirely different than the real thing. i got global red, which is a MUTED red -- more toward the pink end of the spectrum than the orange. the color is nicely textured (many subtly different shades). the loops are BIG and uneven up close, which i think gives the rug character. (it's not smooth and elegant, in other words.) pretty scratchy to walk on barefoot, but i like giving my feet a wake up call after coming home and taking my shoes off. this is not a rug you'd put in your living room and lie on, but great for my purposes.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by elaine46 The rug that I received was definitely not like the picture. The colors run darker than natural into a brown tone. The loop is very uneven to the point of not being comfortable on bare feet. As I unrolled it, the fibers actually scuffed my dark hardwood floors. Luckily, they were removed with a good coat of wax. Don't think of laying down without a good carpet mat to protect your floor.

Purchased 2 small rugs first. I did have a piece of the rug come off. Not sure how to explain it. Maybe part of the weave but I really loved the color and texture and it has been hard to find something I liked. Decided to purchase the area rug. The problem is that it doesn't look like the will last which is too bad because right now they look great in our living room. The area rug looks like it will start fraying soon in some areas on the edge. Very Disappointed.

Was looking for an attractive, durable, non-wool living room rug; this fits the bill wonderfully. The color is gorgeous, the natural fibers massage your feet as you walk across it, it lays down flat at the edges, no smell or odor at all (for some reason I thought there'd be a "ropey" odor). And I got it on sale!

I had been searching for a square rug, but they are not easy to find in larger sizes.(I wanted an 8 ft square) I wanted to make the formal dining room set I had inherited a little less formal and this rug in the natural color fit the bill! I was a bit worried because of some reviews about the larger loops, especially since we have a cat, however the blend of natural colors and the loops make it interesting and give it depth and dimension....and my cat has been fine with it!
