I have one of these blinds that was bought several years ago. Now that I'm ready to install it, I find that the box of brackets and screws for attaching the blind to the window has gone missing. Can I order replacement parts without buying a whole new blind? If not, do you offer any sort of standard blind installation kit that would work with this item?

When purchased from my local Home Depot, the cord tilt string is on the left as I'm standing looking at the blind. I need 2 blinds with the tilt cord on the right side.

Answer:
Yes there are several details missing from instructions, However since my windows were boxed in rather than flush with wall I just bought some hook and latch tape stuck a few inches near ends and in middle of the valance to stick it on to blind top rail. That maks it removable any time.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor quality I wasnt expecting a top end blind for the price I paid for them but I was expecting something better than this. The associate at the local HD told me that shortening the blinds was a bit of a pain, I appreciated the honesty, but being in construction for 40 years I thought how bad could it be. Trust me, it's a pain. My biggest gripe is the warped slats and trim for the headpiece. The "thread" that holds it all together and controls movement looks like it will fall apart after a year or two of sun comingu thru the window. Hopefully it will last that long. February 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy wood blinds. The blind is sturdily made and rich looking. My main thought about horizontal blinds is they all are sold in 64" length. What a waste. Rarely is a window that tall. In this case the window was only 37". That meant that half the blind was discarded. Shortening is relatively simple until you must re-insert the three plastic plugs that hold the cords at the bottom. Literally had to use a hammer to get them back in. Very carefully of course to avoid bashing fingers. August 25, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I like the product but very annoyed with resolving 1 issue I would recommend opening and checking the top valance to make sure it matches the blinds. We ordered custom cut. One window needed 3 sections one wide center and two smaller side sections. After installing all the blinds come to find out the color/shade of the two smaller valances are not the same as the blinds. One of them being so far off it is hard to imagine someone packaging did not notice. I called customer service they put in a claim/inquiry with manufacturer. ( I asked for 2 new valances to be sent out, silly me) About two weeks later I finally get a reply. You will need to send back the blinds and reorder them... So I guess I am going to have to reorder and pay for two sets first and then send back the blinds after I remove the 2 valances. Unreal problem solving solutions. July 8, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage I should have stopped installing when all but two of the screws snapped in half. Once installed the lifter portion of the blinds that holds the cords in place just fell apart (which is made of plastic by the way). The wood on the blinds are cheap and flimsy, and the decor that is supposed to accent the blinds are also made of plastic. I paid $90 for someone elses garbage, will be returning tomorrow. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely and a value I used these to cover an awkward window in my bathroom. I removed some of the top slats and was abe to combine privacy with allowing in natural light and they matched my wood vanity perfectly! Thank you Home Depot! December 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by love I have purchased nine of these blinds, one for every window. Their beautiful and good quality. December 17, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cannot make an inside mount installation 1. If you do an inside mount it is physically impossible to attach the valance. 2. The included screws are very poor quality. I pre-drilled the holes for the screws. When I tried to put in the screws two of the screw heads broke off. 3. As is true with most mounting hardware, some of the screw holes are located in the hardware so that you have to use the screwdriver at an angle to get at the head of the screw. May 31, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Real wood; so is balsa The screws for the brackets were difficult to tighten in spite of using the required tools. Once they were hung, the cords did not operate well and I felt like I would tear the whole thing from the wall when I was trying to open or close them. January 15, 2014
