Answer:
My slats just pull out from one side or the other. I am not sure about raising the length, but if you mea making them shorter, after removing the slats, unfasten the string guides from the bottom bar. Then raise the bar to the desired height, I.e. pull it out like a slat and put it back in at the desired height, reattach the string guides and cut off any excess. The inside of my window is 75 inches wide. Will this blind work for that and extend to anchor ok, or do I need to do a special order?

Thank your!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adaquate Cheap screws broke in pilot hole. Had to use my own screws. Appearance is fine but raise/lower rather stiff. Shortening instructions inadaquate and process rather tedious. August 2, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It was pretty easy. Attractive and easy to install. Making it shorter involved a trip back to the store to look at the diaplay. August 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The product was easy to install and works as expected. I found the blinds easy to install. Due to length, two people were required for the installation. Installing the cover was difficult due to the force required to attach the clips. August 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Some tips for adjusting the length of this blind Adjusting the length of these blinds is harder than they say in the store, but here's some tips. First, drill out the holes with about a 5/32 drill bit. This will make it possible to thread the strings back in. Be aware that you have to get the string lengths just right to get the bottom piece level left to right and front to back. Don't cut the strings until you're sure the bottom piece is level when you raise the shade; if you cut them too short you'll ruin the shade. I'm still not sure how to get the pull strings all even, so on all but one of my shades one or two of them bow out. Also, rather than waste a lot of time trying to get all the lengths to match on the "string ladders" that hold the slats in place, just get it to where the shade works and leave it - it doesn't look too bad. Figure on at least 40 minutes per shade for the process, and an hour for the longer shades. Make sure the wife and kids are out of the house so they don't get frightened when you start yelling in frustration. And don't take your frustration out on the poor Home Depot employees - they're not the ones who decided to stock this product. November 8, 2011
