I have installed numerous wood floors including nail down, and click-lock. This is the worst product I have ever seens for locking and staying in place. Some of the boards seem to be warped and they just will not stay together during the install. This is with using all the proper tapping blocks, spacers and pull bars. The worst thing is that Home Depot will not take back the opened box that you have to use to figure out its not going to work. It has a great look to it but steer far away unless you want to be bringing it back at a loss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Completed flooring 2 days ago. We were a little skeptical at first after reading reviews from others sites. Almost decided to go with the pergo brand but to save a little money we chose this one. No major issues while installing. Got easier to put down the more we did. I love the look of the flooring. I wanted it to be dark and this is dark enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price I have more expensive stuff made by the same company in my front room. (It came with the house I bought, 8mm $2.79 sq ft.) I bought this 12mm for $1.50 sq ft. Nobody can tell the difference when they come in. It is a little quieter due to the thickness. Only a 30 year warranty instead of a 50 like the more expensive stuff. Try getting carpet for that price and actually wanting to keep it that long. My installer said that you can only install it one direction not both easily. He had to start on the wall of the bedroom and work across the hall to the other bedroom. He would have preferred to start in the hall and go both ways. He made it work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap quality, AVOID Don't be fooled by how attractive this laminate is. It's manufactured poorly. The tongue and groove system for assembly is so flimsy and breakable. In many of the boxes I opened, the tongue on the short ends was already broken. And this was not a shipping or handling issue. The tongue was just peeling away from the board. When I tried to install these planks, many of the ends kept popping up. This flooring boasts a "click and lock" system. But there is not clicking and no locking. I've installed quite a few laminate floors and this was the worst flooring I've ever worked with. I'm including photos. I'm taking this back to and getting my money back.

I love my new floors. I used a wonderful underlayment with it as well. (TrafficMASTER TrafficMASTER 100 sq. ft. 3 ft. x 33.34 ft. x 1/8 in. Underlayment with Attached Vapor Barrier.) The floors are quiet, no clicking. Love them. I can't' wait to complete the rest of the house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unsatisfactory I recently bought 17 boxes and the ends did not lock at all! They didn't even catch to each other. Very disappointed and now have to waste time to load all of these boxes back up to return. I will give it 2 stars based on the look of the wood and it seems durable.

So I've read a lot of the reviews on here and I've installed almost 1,000 sq ft of this flooring so by this time I know it pretty well. Yes, you can work off of both sides of the laminate. We did this to allow the flooring to be continuous through rooms and closets without the need for transition moldings. The locking mechanism on the flooring is pretty good. I had multiple boards where the short ends connected but still had a small ridge where they met. This happened a few times and the easiest solution was to simply use a different board and move the problem board to another area of the flooring. In short, sometimes two of them, for whatever reason, will not interlock on the ends appropriately. But every time this happened, it was an instance where the board could still be used in a different location. This translated to very little waste! Unfortunately, the biggest drawback when installing, seemed to be that almost every board needed to be tapped on with a tapping block to have it seat appropriately. Once you tapped it with the tapping block, you would see the small crack that remained disappear (which is what you want!). After a while, it became part of a routine so it was less bad. This means that you absolutely need to have an installation kit when installing the floor. I purchased mine at the local discount tool retailer...HF. The finished product looks great and it seems to be very resilient to wear so far. It is a great flooring, at a great price, and if you take your time to be sure all connections are made well, it is a fantastic flooring!
