HELP ME PLEASE!!! How do I get rid of the smudges and footprints?

I purchased these floors in love with them! Now we have to make sure we don't stand too long in one spot..we have to wear socks or double socks on our feet...I have gotten down on my hands and knees and scrubbed with microfiber clothes...still minutes after scrubbing and soon as you step you see smudges. I literally have to walk around with a microfiber dust mop and clean as I walk!! Can you please help.

I have this flooring in my master bathroom and in my front room / nursery. I literally get on my hands and knees with a damp rag. Don't use product and don't use a mop. A dry, microfiber works to get all the dust, etc. but foot prints / hand prints / anything "on" the floor needs to be cleaned up with a damp cloth. Not sure what the manufacturer recommends but that's what I have done for nearly two years and I still love the floor.

High Gloss Distressed Maple Ashburn 8 mm Thick x 5-5/8 in. Wide x 47-7/8 in. Length Laminate Flooring (18.7 sq.ft./case) is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 10.

Although we refinished the stairs (sanded, stained, and polyurethaned), the landing was plywood and could not feasibly be refinished in the same way. We used the Maple Ashburn stair tread cap because it was the best option to have the stair nose on the landing, going to the stairs down. We used this laminate flooring on the stair landing, as it was the thinnest workable option we could come up with. For our installation we trimmed the edge of the laminate flooring and "butted" it up to the Cap a Tread (which I am sure many pros would not recommend). Although this flooring is generally installed in a "floating manner", we glued it and the Cap A Tread in place, and it seems to be working effectively. We glued it because we did not want it "floating" away from the Cap-A-Tread and creating a gap. I would like to point out that the "Distressed" Maple Ashburn laminate does NOT exactly match up to the Maple Ashburn stair tread (which is non-distressed) that is still available from Home Depot. The non-distressed Maple Ashburn laminate flooring is no longer available. It was a close match, but you can definitely see the difference. In the pic you will see that the Distressed Maple Ashburn Laminate is a little lighter in the middle of each board. In our application the difference was insignificant enough that it turned out pretty nice. We have had it in place for just over a month.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice floor, but impossible to keep clean Floor looks really nice. Seems durable but I have only had it installed for about a month. I've tested a few scrap pieces to see how well it would handle some abuse, and was quite surprised at how well it handled the abuse. A few pieces sat under my car that was dripping with salt and snow in the garage and I literally could have installed the pieces and nobody would have noticed. I also used some scrap pieces to use as a depth gage while cutting the door jams with my saw. These pieces took hundreds of passes with the side of my saw as I had 12 doors to cut, and only a few small scratch marks were left. Razor blades will leave a mark but seemed like the best way to mark my cuts. This product installed fairly easily, however I installed it on a 45 degree angle which I don't believe it was designed to do. Being I installed it on a 45, I of course had more waste than normal, but it was worth it. The 45 created a much harder install because the pieces at the opposite end wanted to slide down the wall and needed constant tapping to keep attached to the other rows. Overall I am happy with the purchase, however, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. You cant have a clean floor and live on it at the same time. Any walking will leave a mark, pets feet leave marks, dust, etc. I swear just looking at it leaves a mark... But it looks nice when its clean (for the 5 minutes that it actually IS clean)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Awful product.DO NOT PURCHASE. I just had it installed in my entire home and I did nothing but throw my hard earned money out the window. There is a permanent haze that will not budge. Too bad that it looks nothing like the store samples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flooring I was so excited to find this flooring was available still. I had 6 boxes given to me and was short just over a box. Thank you for having this flooring in stock. In the spring I hope to do the next bedroom and hope the flooring is available still.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lovely floors!!However, very very high maintenance... I bought this flooring about 4 months ago..I love it but you cannot walk on it without seeing a footprint even with socks...I have to get on my hands and knees and back out of each area when cleaning!!!I have to clean really as I walk if you don't want to see a smudge or foot print!!! really lovely floors though but I cannot get them to look good all the time...we have to sit on the couch with feet in the air or on the couch!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice BUT Little on the cheap side, they go together fine, but a bit tight, and because of that they chip easy when you hammer on the pull bar, order an extra box to cover yourself, I wasted at least 4-5 boards, and salvaged 4-5 more because of lay out of room. Room was 200 sq ft.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but high maintenance, noticeable chips are disapointing We've had the floor for 2 months now and get a lot of compliments. The after install haze goes away with mopping. But the floor shows marks quite easily, be prepared to sweep and mop to keep up that high end look. The real concern is the dings. While cleaning i've come across several deep dings in the boards. Assuming somethings been dropped on it? But I expected the boards to be stronger and the lighter wood underneath stands out. Perhaps not the best choice with kids...
