James 36 in. H Chrome Counter Stool is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Uncomfortable These chairs look great and are built well, but are really quite comfortable. They recline slightly backwards and are uncomfortable on your legs. The seating position is not natural because you lean back - you usually want to lean forward when at a counter. They are also wider than normal stools so it is hard to fit a 5th chair on my 12' island.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I love these chairs. I wanted this style for my kitchen for a long time and right before we were installing a kitchen island I was excited to see Home Decorators started carrying them. The hardest part about putting them together was removing all the wrapping, which was fine by me because they were in very good shape once it all came off. The only problem I have with them is that they gave me a lot of bruises on the back of my legs from getting on and off the chairs because of the wire seat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok The stools are ok. The pad is cheap looking and comes off easily.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed It was purchased as a gift and was not able to ship until late in December. When assembled, it is mismatched in height with the others that I had purchased prior Christmas. It is a bit shorter overall. They are looking to see if they can modify it because return shipping would be a hassle.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but uncomfortable A great stool to look at but EXTREMELY uncomfortable! I had to retun them because my husband and children voted them "thumbs down" because they were hard to get into and out of and once you got in, you didn't want to sit for too long even with the leather-like padding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Super Comfortable Love the look and price, but the seat pads should be thicker or made out of a thin but super dense foam so the chair is more comfortable. I'm going to use the current pads as a template and have some made. After a while you start to feel the metal through the current pad and there's no give, so the chair isn't very comfortable for a longer "sit". A better pad should do the trick. Great look for the price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from James counter stool Looked as good as the picture, however there was a significant assembly issue. 3 out of the 4 chairs were easily assembled. One chair was difficult to line up hole from seat to base. It actually broke one of the screws while trying to tighten. Another hole needed a longer screw as the seat hole did not line up with the hole on the base, and there is not enough length of screw to put on cap (nut). Problem with one of the black pads.. The velcro did not line up correctly to place it where it needed to be placed, and one part of one of the velcro tabs was almost completely unattached to the pad.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just too big The stool was very nice looking, just like the more expensive versions. But it's quite large and deep and just didn't fit in our space. A more straigh vertical one worked better
