Mattress Size Can't Be Right ?

It says, the Mattress is, 15 3/4 inches thick, can that be right, I have a 9 inch mattress, and it's very big ?
Asked by: gman
Obviously they do not understand their own product!!!! The so called "15.75 inches thick" refers ONLY to the folded thickness NOT the actual mattress thickness!

Can a human and not a robot please answer this. It seems like you do not want to provide the correct answer as you obfuscate. So, asking yet again because this question has not been answered adequately:. How THICK is the mattress (and by mattress I mean the mattress only, NOT including the bed frame)?
Asked by: wondering
With my ruler, i measured the thickness at right around 4 1/2 inches thick.

Is the bed adjustable? Looking for my dad and he needs the "back" to sit up at like a 45 degree angle

Asked by: Christie
No, it has just the two "settings": folded up and unfolded.

Luxor Folding Bed with Memory Foam is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 62.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxor rollaway bed awesome rollaway bed. best bed for money and not over priced. bought this bed after viewing a number of others online. having used rollaways before, we purchased the luxor based on its metal frame with bent wood slats and very firm memory foam mattress. I used the bed the night we received it. While i prefer a firm bed and i slept well and comfortable on it, i purchased a zeopedic mem foam gel infused mattress topper for it also. our houseguest used it for a week and a half and remarked it was as comfortable as her own bed at home or better. this bed is stable, very easy to set up, and easy to put away with taking up minimal space. even with a 2inch topper it still folds up easy although we use a bungee type stretch cord to secure it now when all folded. this bed is very well constructed and we expect to use it for years to come. i recommend this bed to anyone looking for a rollaway and its price cannot be beat.

This lightweight folding bed is surprisingly well-constructed for the low price, with a nice, sturdy steel frame. The mattress is reasonably comfortable, even for a pretty big guy like me. Good value for money...and my cat loves it, too. =)

Not a bad bed, but there is improvement needed................................................................................ We wanted a roll away bed for convenience. This bed is comfortable enough to sleep on (if you are OK on a firm mattress). However, the legs at each end of the bed do not seem to lock in position when the bed is deployed. If you move while you sleep, either your feet or your head may suddenly drop to a steep angle, which is startling. Also, as I read on other reviews, this bad cannot be stored with bedclothes on the mattress. The plastic arm which locks the ends together is just too short. I was able to do it with a mattress pad on the mattress, but only by pushing my full weight against the bed up against a brick wall to close the arm securely. There has to be a better way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Luxor Folding Bed The bed did not come with instructions, but it was easy enough for my husband to put together. A few latches and screws. I laid on it and it is sturdy and the foam feels thick. My son who is 6 years old slept on it just for kicks and he said it was comfortable. I think it would be comfortable for kids but I would suggest buying a memory foam topper if you are using it for a person that weights over 100lbs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard as a rock Never been more disappointed in a purchase than this one. Had to be assembled and it went downhill from there. Parts missing. The "memory foam" has the memory of a demented senior. Hard as a rock. Then couldn't get it to fold back up enough to snap the bracket in place. Had to secure tie it with a bunge cord. Would not not recommend. Buy an air bed!

You must be very careful using the unit. I would have returned it however it was purchased for a guest room and I did not recognize it was a problem until I had it for awhile and the packaging was destroyed.

Could be a little better engineered and constructed. A couple of areas where rivet connections are loose fitting but probably necessary in order to function properly. My worry is whether it will stand up to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandkids loved it We were looking for an alternative to the inflatable mattresses we use when our grandchildren visit us from Texas. This is easy to move, easy to make up, and a very comfortable sleep. The kids all wanted to use it, so they had to take turns.
