Marie Arm Chair in Natural Grid is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fine for the purpose & price These chairs a good value for what they are! I am using them in a bonus room and recovering them. They will be used by my teenage daughters in their game room. I, personally, would not purchase these for a formal room, or room that gets a lot of use. They would be fine in an office or sitting room, or possibly a bedroom. They are a cheap version of a nice Bergere Chair. Just remember, "you do get what you pay for".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upscale Look at Bargain Price This is a great looking chair - appears much more expensive that it was. The color is more of a soft orange and mixes very well with lighter woods and grays/blues, taupes and golds. Wood trim is a lovely distressed bleached color similar to the finish now offered at a large chain interior furnishings store. Back is straight up and down, however, so you might find a small throw pillow or lumbar pillow makes these chairs more comfortable if you are sitting in them for extended periods of time. Cushion is plump and firm, and removable (a plus in my mind). Easy assembly - just screw on four legs. Terrific designer look at a very reasonable price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute chair, poorly constructed I was excited to see this arm chair for the price; similar chairs sell at other places for much more, and the first reviews have all been positive. Although it's a great-looking chair, the chair that I received had defects in the manufacturing--parts of the wood frame were unfinished; there were gaps in frame where it was glued together and visible blobs of glue; there were problems with the upholstery as well--frayed piping, gaps in piping, and lumps in the back of the chair where the padding wasn't secured properly. I believe the chair was made in a rush and quality suffered. Homedecorators was great about returning the chair and offered to inspect another chair before sending it out for an exchange.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased two chairs in the natural herringbone fabric for a sitting room. When the chairs arrived I was disappointed due to the cheap craftsmanship. The padding on the arms looked cheap and ineffective. You could see the start/stop points of the ribbing on the fabric. Additionally one of the chairs arrived cracked and broken on the back wood frame. The chairs were not well padded and would not have been comfortable to sit in for a long time. We returned both chairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy! I am so very pleased with these chairs. I sit in my living room and just stare at them! I purchased them in orange velvet which made me nervous - I knew it was a risk - but the color is really quite perfect. I'd describe it as an orange sherbet. I was afraid they would be Halloweenish - they aren't. I was nervous they'd look cheap - they don't. They are also an excellent size - sometimes chairs at this pricepoint are dinky - these are legitimate pieces of furniture. A tremendous value for the design and quality. I should note that of the two chairs I ordered (thus 8 legs) one leg hole was not drilled properly and thus a leg will not screw on. I'm contacting HD to find out how to proceed - but it says something that I love these chairs so much it isn't currently bothering me that one is 3-legged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cant beat the price Bought this chair to pair with another similar for next to fire place. It's really a great looking, well designed chair that rivals RH but much less expensive. Assembly was one of the easiest Ive ever done. Great accent chair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice I purchased 2 chairs in grey velvet. As noted in another review, the chairs truly are closer to a slate blue velvet. However, I wanted them whether they were actually grey or slate blue. Either color worked in my living room. The polyester velvet pile is not as thick as I would have liked, but the material works well. The wood has a pecan finish with a dark grey wash. They look beautiful and are perfect for my french country look. With respect to other reviews indicating a slight issue with the legs, I found that if you keep turning the leg until it fits flush with the bottom of the chair, there is no problem. Shipping was extremely fast; the chairs were delivered within ten days of ordering. All in all, I think these chairs are a great value as I ordered them with 20% discount. Free shipping would have been even better if I could have gotten that too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Style at a budget friendly price I purchased two of the Marie arm chairs in the solid grey velvet. As others have indicated, the fabric is definitely more of a slate blue than a true grey, especially depending on the lighting, etc. However, the color is really beautiful. The picture of the grey velvet version of the chair on the website is actually pretty accurate. The wood finish is almost exactly the color of a pecan shell. The wood finish has not much sheen to it, so it is more of a matte finish. Assembly was easy, and the scale of the chairs is smaller, so they don't take up a lot of space, and are especially friendly to shorter people such as myself, because I can actually sit all the way back in the chair and my feet still touch the ground. The cushions, which are reversible, could use, in my opinion, just a little more Dacron batting in them to give them more of a crown and soften them. As is, the cushions are a little flat looking and firm, but not uncomfortable. For the money, I am very pleased with these chairs!
