I would NOT agree with the other review that says install was difficult, and the locking system wasn't good.
Two key things to pay attention to here. 5" Plank and 12mm thick. These are some seriously heavy duty laminate floor planks. And for their price, an excellent deal. These are 12mm thick and when locked together create a very strong floor system even on the roughest and weakest of subfloors.
While a good technique is necessary, these do lock together exactly as instructed in the included instructions. They can be laid in either direction, so it works great for working around corners and back into the opposite direction avoiding unnecessary transitions. Cutting them was extremely easy with a 10" miter saw with a carbide blade with a high tooth count. I was even able to use a table saw, and that same blade, to rip them down to a narrower plank for finishing the last row along a wall.
Make sure when you are locking them together to visually inspect the locking channel around all four sides of the plank to make sure there is no debris that will interfere with being able to interlock it with the adjacent plank.
Each plank has a very small beveled edge along all 4 sides, so after locking them together you have a noticeable seam between each plank adding to the look and feel of it being real wood planks. Each plank has one continuous pattern on it, so the plank itself looks like one piece of wood. Some laminate floors have wide planks with a pattern of three rows on each meaning once installed you notice that there are no seams between the pattern rows but you see seams between the planks. That takes away from it being able to look like a real wood floor. That is NOT the case with these. I had a party in my home recently and not one of my 50+ guests believed me when I told them it was a laminate floor. A couple of the handyman type men actually made me show them some of the scrap pieces I had before they'd believe me.
On the subject of patterns. Each box comes with 8 planks. The break down is 4 patterns, 2 planks of each pattern. There is no way to look at the label on an individual box and determine which 4 patterns will be in the box. In total, I purchased one and a half pallets for about 1300sqft. I determined there to be a total of 11 different plank patterns!!! I was not expecting that and was very pleased. I figured there would be like 6 or 7, making it difficult to not repeat a plank pattern to close to another. With 11 different patterns I had no trouble at all keeping a pattern as much as 8 or more feet from it's nearest match. With 11 patterns I was able to more easily lay the planks in a random order, meaning not pulling from one pattern to the next in the same sequence. This prevented 2 patterns from always appearing next to each other, which in itself would create a repeating pattern on a larger scale and is very noticeable on a floor without a lot of furniture or rugs covering it.
I think this particular product has been discontinued and they are trying to sell their remaining stock. Until it's gone I would highly recommend to anyone.

This product doesn't even deserve one star but I had to put something. The installation process was horrible. By far the worst floor I've ever installed. I battled with it for a few hours and ended up pulling it up and taking it back.
The tongue and groove was horrible. Pieces did not want to lock at all. Floor had spaces and was uneven.
Hampton Bay needs to stick to ceiling fans because they are absolutely clueless when it comes to designing floors.

The floor is beautiful, but it does not have a good locking system. Too many pieces come unlocked during installation.

This laminate flooring looks almost like real hardwood. My husband installed it in our kitchen/dining/entryway and hallway in 2 days. We ended up with extra boxes and are going to put it in my office as well. It is very durable and very quiet when walking on it. I would recommend this product over any laminate at this price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BoyntonGuy We love this flooring! It fit very well with all our furniture, light and dark.
I had a contractor install the material, so my 'ease of installation' rating is based on his lack of complaints about it. We did two rooms in this material and one in another material. I wish we'd done all three with this material as it looks better, not that the other isn't great, but this is even better.

PURCHASED 35 CASES OF THIS PRODUCT FOR BEDROOMS... ALSO ORDERED A GOOD GRADE OF UNDERLAYMENT, HAD IT PUT DOWN IN ONE BEDROOM SO FAR, AND IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. THERE SEEMS TO BE LITTLE WASTE FROM THIS PRODUCT SO I ONLY USED 8 CASES FOR A 12X12' BEDROOM... THAT LEAVES ME WITH 27 CASES TO DO THE OTHER TWO BEDROOMS WHICH ARE LARGER THAN THE FIRST ONE. I HAVE NO SQUEAKS WHEN YOU WALK ON THE ABOVE GRADE FLOOR. REVIEWS STATED THIS PRODUCT SCRATCHES REAL EASY...SO I TOOK A NAIL AND TRIED TO PUT DEEP SCRATCHES IN THE PRODUCT .... NO
SUCH LUCK...HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!

Looks great, however is too thick and with muffler pad is 1/2 inch taller than my other floors - even carpet. I could not find transitions to make up the difference so I had to improvise by cutting out of wood.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Golfner6 Very Solid Laminate flooring (No Pun intended)
Installed Hampton Bay Middlebury Maple in a 350 sq foot main room.
Before install I have to rip up a section of subfloor to cut down a center joist.
It was 5/8" taller than the other joists and bowed the floor, must have been cut that way at sawmill.
Anyways got the subfloor level then took about 4 hours to install using Airflow guard underlayment.
The best advice I can give is to use a small block of 2"x4" and a rubber hammer to lock securely the end of each board and sides. Just like you would if installing actually hardwoods.
One more piece of advice is to use a two row cut pattern and not a three row cut pattern.
It looks best for any room as a two cut plus its less waste of material.
Overall I've had this floor in since Sept. 2014 and we had a high heat summer/fall and a very cold winter in MD. So with that being said, the floor even holds well against and type of temperature changes.
