These blinds were very easy to install and look great! Thank you Home Depot for supplying such a good product. Oh by the way, the 23" by 72" fit perfectly in both my windows. Again , thank you.

The shade looks great. I put it up to block the morning sun that blazes through the front rooms of my beach house. The shade was easy to install. I have installed several of them before, so this one was easy like the others. Since the shade is made of natural materials, there are some irregularities in the wooden sticks that make it up. Also, I wish they blocked the sun a little more completely. I might suggest that they make another version of these blinds that have a fabric backing to completely block the sun.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Gayle Check the Cords
We purchased 2 shades for the garage windows and were disappointed to find that even though the product number on the boxes was identical, the tassel on the cords was not the same. They were not the same color or style. In fact, the cords are of different lengths. Had I been installing them anywhere but the garage, I would have retuned them.

I tried out the Natural color bamboo shades. I liked the color as it is a natural unfinished, light wood. In fact, it even smelled nice out of the box.
The size I received was 23 In. x 72 In. If you are doing an inside mount, be sure you get the right size (not close, but exact). Otherwise, go with a larger size and do an outside mount (or order custom). You don't want gaps on an inside mount.
Because my shade was very long and narrow (23x72) when the shade was fully extended, it seemed to curve or be wavy at the very bottom. It did not sit straight. I tried to pull it down to get it to straighten out. Hopefully it will settle in over the next few days and hang out straight. I think that the Bottom Rail is just not heavy enough for a shade of this length. If you had different proportions (say 48x72) it would probably be OK.
The directions were basic. All hardware mounting parts were included. Be sure to predrill pilot holes as the screws are terrible. It will take a little longer than it seems due to the unusual wingnut bracket install. I needed a power driver with extension bit.
There was an ugly plastic warning label on the back of the shade. I had to use scissors to cut it off.
The 6 inch valance and the wooden tassels are a nice touch. Also, on the back of the shade, the cords are encased in a cloth sleeve.
The shades raised and lowered nicely, and folded at the top. Very smooth mechanisms.
If you're on a budget, a shade like this, in a different size, might work. It has some potential.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by palaranda Expertly designed and assembled
I’ll first comment about the shade straight out of the box. No faults whatsoever. A lovely design and extremely well thought out and put together for a stress free assembly. Speaking of the assembly, the installation of the blind took all of two minutes and it was even easier to fit it to the window. Recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HouseStuff The blinds seem great
We outfitted our home with these and will only use them for the top half of the windows, accenting the cafe style half plantation shutters on the bottom. These blinds seem just like the high end, much more expensive style that HD also sold. I couldn't tell a functional difference. Only problem with these if you are buying many of them is that they seem to all come from different batches of construction. Some will have white string covers on the back others will be tan. Also, some assemblies will contain the hardware to join the pull strings together and others will not. All together, a good buy and style for much cheaper than custom made. They are NOT light proof--you will be able to see through them, if this is a concern. Some were more wrinkled than others but we found after a few days the wrinkles fell out OK. Very easy to install..about 5-10 minutes per window with a cordless drill.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by wxray Great look for a semi-private application
This shade is what I was looking for: something with an informal, but quality natural look that still let some light in during the day.
The shade takes the edge off direct sunlight while still letting in a lot of light. Don't get this if you need block-out privacy! But if your interest is in stopping direct sunlight, while still letting in light, this is perfect.
The valance is a nice touch. Makes for a complete installation.
The natural wood is a perfect match for my wood look laminate floors. Very nice and a good change away from the same tired old mini-blinds.
I took off one star because of some uneven weave in certain areas. This may just be a result of the natural product. However, for the price, you can't ask for everything.
