Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by littlebiggie This was the worst purchase ever. The wood is very cheap and so is the hardware. When I open the left side door it fell off the hinges. Pieces of suppose to be wood came out with it. The magnet holes are not lined up properly, had to drill my own so the doors would appear even. Wish I could send it back but I don't want to pay for shipping and the hassle of packing it since I threw away the box. I'll be looking for something soon to replace it but its gonna have to do for now.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MissHolly Most Difficult Piece Yet - Looks Ok For Now Though
I have been buying on here for a while. I want to buy pieces that are high quality and that will last a very long time (rather than the cheap stuff I used to buy from local stores). So, I bought an Oxford Brand small piece before and completely loved the style of it. I don't usually spend a few hundred on one piece of furniture, but I did on this one because I really needed the storage space. And, the other Oxford piece I bought was easy to put together. I have put together many dozens of pieces of furniture and it's usually easy with a few being complicated, and that is ok with me. I find it to be a stress-reliever. With this Oxford piece it was the opposite. EVERY single thing that could go wrong - did - from every single step of the way. I took pictures as proof and was going to contact Home Dec. for a refund, but read that they do not do it after a certain time period. So anyway, The bottom pieces didn't fit together properly, meaning, there was about a half an inch gap. There was no way for the furniture to be safe and secure from the base if there was a huge gap (about 1/4 inch on each side) and you can see the the big hole there. I had to manually reinforce every step of this with my own hardware - screws and all that. It took a VERY long time and was EXTREMELY frustrating. The hinges and tiny baby screws are not strong enough. They literally ripped right out, leaving damaged holes and I had to use my own screws. It all compromised the pieces of wood, and you can already see the stress on those joints. The doors themselves do not line up properly either - with one down so low that it scratches the bottom part of the piece with each opening and closing. The other one so high that it's really obvious they are not even close to being even. The last step - the part where you put the backing on - that too didn't line up and some nails or screws went right on through to the inside of the cabinet! I had to remove them, but holes remain. The whole entire process was unlike anything I've ever experienced in my many dozens of furniture endeavors. I would have been better off making this piece of furniture from lumber at the store. I am so disappointed as this cost a lot of money and I couldn't pay for the shipping to return it and it's too late anyway. I still love Home Decorators and still love the style of this piece - as long as people don't look up close at all the damage it has already endured. And, unfortunately, I know this won't last long. :( I'm sad to give this review but wanted to give people my honest experience. It was rough. And, I am truly hoping I just got a bad batch - a bad setup from the factory and hope yours isn't like this. Thanks.

Rated moderate just because of some sawed wood left in holes. When you try to match up.holes and it doesn't fit, check for sawed wood nd just blow it out. Also the left inner door was not drilled for holes to put magnet. So we had to do our own. But great product!. Definately great for kitchen storage and kitchen gadgets on top. Nice and long! Also the customer service was the best I have delt with. In all, you will like this.

This cabinet was difficult to assemble because it was cheaply made. Once assembled it looks good but it is not a quality product.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jc123 Fine, but not great
The quality of the materials are not all that great. One of the doors was damaged upon receipt. The frame is not square, causing the doors to appear off centered and they rub against the frame. It looks fine, and is an ok value for the price point.

This was just what was needed in my dining room to hold my cookbooks and mail. Not a huge piece, but just the right size. Feels quite sturdy and looks nice.

The overall appearance is acceptable although I wish the color were lighter or closer to oak to match the wood floor of my house. It is surprisingly heavy and I doubt if it was made for moving if one lives in an apartment. One step in the instruction was incorrect, but you can easily figure out with a bit of attention. I'm an engineer so I had no problem to assemble it all by myself. All the doors fit nicely with even spacing on all four sides surprisingly. After installing one door, I figured it would fit nicer (space-wise) if you attach the hinges to the console first (before the doors) using the pre-drilled holes for the screws. Overall I'm satisfied with the product.
