However, the directions were explicit and easy to follow, and did specify that at least two people were suggested for assembly. We had absolutely no trouble and are pleased with our purchase!

This buffet was such a pain to put together, it almost made me throw my hands up and return it! First, it didn't come with instructions so I had to come back to this page and *LUCKILY* find them through a link here. Once i had the PDF on my laptop I began. It took 3 days to put together because there are so many little things to do, and they were not easy! I got especially confused with the divider for the cabinets and for a while gave up because I thought we were missing an important piece. They didn't give us enough of the screws for the hinges, but there were too many of another type of screw, so we made do with what was there. We didn't have to modify it like some other reviews have said but when it was all put together it felt very flimsy and I was not confident that it would be able to hold what I wanted it to hold. However, all the negativity aside it became a little more sturdy with the shelves in and has held up nicely. We have all kinds of small appliances sitting on top of it and in one side of the cabinets and have gotten several compliments on it. I'm pleased with it now that the assembly is over!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy I am so disappointed in this product and with Home Depot's customer service. I ordered this item and had it shipped to my local store. Picked it up at the store, took it home and assembled it per the instructions. It was wobbly and the holes on the top part did not match up with where it connected with the cabinet frame so the top part won't screw into the cabinet frame completely. The doors don't shut completely (the magnet won't catch it) and the doors are misaligned. It is such a piece of cr%p and absolutely not worth $400+. Once it's assembled you cannot disassemble it so you can't put it all back in the box it came in. it's a heavy piece of furniture and it won't fit it in my car because of the length so I can't take it back to the store myself. I called Home Depot customer service and told them I'd like to return it bc it's defective and I asked that it be picked up for the reasons above. The store could pick it up for $80 and they wouldn't waive that fee. Why would I pay another $80 when I'm trying to return a defective piece of furniture I bought from them? While the customer service people I spoke with were pleasant and nice and wanted to help me, no one actually helped or resolved the issue. Eventually I was told that a freight company would call me in 4-7 days to schedule a time to pick it up. I never received a call from the freight company. In total, I've called HD customer service 9 TIMES to try to get this taken care of. It's unbelievable how many times I've had to call them to get this resolved and it's still not resolved. I have this $400+ charge on my credit card and I cannot seem to get this returned. I've been happy with Home Depot until now. Definitely don't buy this product. Poor quality, way overpriced for what you get and a serious hassle to return it if you have to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buffet definitely serves it's purpose... It's a great size... LOTS of storage space, both in the drawers and the two cabinets, and it looks really nice in our kitchen. The only thing that stinks was we waited literally three months to get two replacement doors since two of the doors in the original package were badly scuffed up. Also, now that the doors are on, the pre-drilled holes didn't match up that well, so one of the doors looks lower than the other... noticably lower. At the end of the day, we have our finished buffet in our kitchen and it's just what we needed. Just a frustrating process to get it finished and a little bit of shoddy workmanship.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purchase with Full Knowledge of Product This was not easy to assemble. Things were predrilled in the wrong places and some pieces simply did not fit correctly. We were also missing some of the hardware (screws, etc.) Some pieces were very warped. But we managed to find substitutes at our local hardware store that worked. It is very heavy. Once finally assembled (my husband had to really work to get it together and he is extremely handy) I do love the look of it. It makes me hesitate to order other matching pieces. This was not an inexpensive item so we were somewhat disappointed with the process of assembly. We are in the middle of a dining room, kitchen remodel and are doing it ourselves and this was an addition to our dining room adjacent to our kitchen. It also has a strange odor that has taken about 2 weeks to get rid of and it is still slightly noticeable. It was fabricated in China. So maybe this is part of all the problems. My kitchen cabinets were also made in China but are a totally different quality and has zero odor and the assembly of those are simple. So I am not adverse to items manufactured in China if the quality is good.
