Answer:
Yes. The hole for the cables is fairly large and allows for wires and cables to be passed around the back of the shelf. Adjusting the shelf up and down on the pegs can restrict the space for cables somewhat but there is also a notch taken out from the back of the shelf to give more room for heavy power cords like the ones found on surge strips.

Just wondering how wide the shelves in the cabinets are. We have several media/gaming devices and I wanted to see if they would fit in the spaces provided. Thanks.

Answer:
The shelves behind the glass doors are fairly narrow, only measuring about one foot across. I've used mine to store cables, a small game console and DVD cases. They are close to 14" deep which means that a fairly good sized DVD player or larger game console will certainly fit in the open shelves in the center section, but not anywhere else.

SharonC1138,
Thank you for the question! The Home Decorators Collection Remington Mission Oak Media Stand has three adjustable shelves. Unfortunately, I only have the measurements for the cabinet spaces and not for the shelves. This information is below.
Center cabinet: 20" W x 14" D x 19" H
Side cabinets: 13" w x 13" D x 19" H

Customer Reviews

Remington Media Stand in Mission Oak is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I wanted an inexpensive stand for a loft TV. This stand exceeded my expectations in every way; appearance, quality, sturdiness. While not solid oak, it is far better than the particle board and suspect laminate one might expect of furniture at this price point. The amount of packing material, especially expanded foam panels, was a bit overwhelming, but, I suppose that's what makes it arrive in great shape. It arrived quickly, assembled easily and I couldn't be more satisfied with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful This product was extremely well packed. No broken or missing parts. The instructions were just great. It was so easy for me, a woman, to put together by myself. It looks beautiful and is very high quality. I would buy this product again if I needed another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a deal! After deciding to get a flat screen TV we realized our beautiful media hutch wouldn't accommodate the larger television. We shopped around and found a lot of mediocre, expensive pieces. After an extensive search online I came across the Remington Mission Oak Media Stand. It sounded like a perfect solution. We have other vintage Mission pieces in our family room, so this was a no brainer considering the price and the other reviews. I clicked, placed order and voila, a few days later it was at my house ready for assembly. I enjoy assembling furniture pieces-this one was exceptionally easy. Pieces were packed well, no chips, no breakage, all pieces were there. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. All the hardware was packaged and labeled to coincide with the instructions; a little allen wrench was included so all I needed was 30 minutes and my trusty Phillips screwdriver. The piece went together easily and perfectly. To be clear, this is modular, MDF/laminate, put together with dowels and screws. Less than Ethan Allen, more than IKEA. An attractive, sturdy media stand with glass doors with vintage-looking pulls, shelves for Blu-Ray player, etc. and well placed conduit holes to route wiring. Personally, I could not be happier with my purchase!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice TV Stand This is a nice looking tv stand. There was one little mark on one of the pieces of wood that I can see when assembled, but not a huge deal. I'm sure if I asked to exchange it I could. I ordered this online and it showed up the next day, and I didn't pay anything extra for quick shipping, so that was nice! I can't really comment on the ease of assembly, I made my husband do it. I think it's priced right, it's hard to find anything of quality any cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right size. This TV stand fits perfectly in my living room and looks great - a good value. It was easy to put together, because the directions were so well written. The only problem was with a flaw in one of the pieces. I contacted Home Depot and they sent a replacement piece - no hassles at all!
