I bought two runners in the amber/burgundy color. The golden color of the sisal looks great with my oak floors. The rugs have saved the floors from a lot of wear and tear. Because of the latex backing, no rug pad is needed. After a year, these rugs still look brand new. Unlike cheaper sisal rugs, these do not shed fibers continually. The surface is rough, so I wouldn't recommend them for a living room or bedroom. The burgundy color was closer to purple than red, so keep that in mind when color-matching. I'm so glad I bought these at HD instead of a similar product from a well-known retailer who charges twice as much.

When brand new, this looks very nice. The color and style is very nice. However, this is a very rough, hard texture. It is not meant for bare feet or even stocking feet. It is EXCRUCIATING on bare feet, and still rough and painful if wearing socks. You cant really walk on this unless you are wearing shoes. I bought this for our entry way from the garage because i wanted something durable, so its great as long as you have shoes on. But when i try to walk on it without shoes, its so painful. I'm scared when the little kids come over that they are going to cry if they try to walk on this with bare feet.
It also gets dirty very easily. shows all the dirt. I'm not sure how i'm going to clean it.
If its painful to walk on in bare feet making it useless for most areas of the house, it shows dirt easily and not easy to clean making it undesirable for an area that will get dirty often, and its not an outdoor rug, then its not a very functional rug. what is it good for?
I suppose if you ALWAYS wear shoes in your house, it might be good for you.

I bought this rug over a year ago and it has been a good value for the price. I will say that my only complaint has been that it stains easily. This rug is currently in our dining room, which happens to be a high traffic area. Some of the fibers have begun fray and there are many stains that have been impossible to remove. I'd recommend placing it in a room that gets little wear and tear.

We got 2 of these rugs to use as kitchen throws in front of the sink area. They are practical because they clean easy, and they are attractive. The body of the rug is a material, not bamboo as it appears, and the fringe is sturdy. We bought the hunter/honey combo which complemented our kitchen decor nicely. You can't go wrong with the Rio.

Arrived promptly and in perfect condition.
I bought a small size to use as a "sample" and am glad I did. The texture is a bit too rough to be used under bare feet in a summer beachfront dining area. But, the rug is well made and the color true to the picture. It will be used as a throw rug in a back entrance area and should "catch" a lot of sand.

We got this to use under our dining table. the saddle color is nice, but the weave had imperfections. we kept it anyhow and now regret as the weave makes lots of crevices that are crumb catchers and its difficult to clean. Its very rough too, so you won't want bare feet with this one.
The only pros are the color and the price.

Trade winds in Maui can become gusty and rugs on the lanai can be airborn in minutes. This rug holds its position on the floor perfectly, looks great with the outdoor wicker furniture. In fact, I ordered a second one to have at the door from the living room to the lanai to match the one from the bedroom. We are very pleased!

The runner does not flatten out at few spots snd the workmanship is a bit below average. There were some irregularities in the weaving. Overall for our purpose to cover the high trffic hallway this runner is just fine. It also came a little lighter than the catalogue picture, which again is not a big deal to me.
