The rug did not have the basket weave look but I knew that was the case based upon previous reviews and was ok with that. I love the fresh sea grass smell (I feel like I'm at the beach!). Rug seems very durable and much softer than our previous sisal rug. I purchased a rug pad elsewhere and made it more comfortable (not yet trimmed to fit in photo). Very pleased with purchased!

The rug is a sage green. It is not the warm gold represented in the picture. The trim is also green. I needed a golden color and I'm hoping it will change from this dull green to the warm gold in the picture. I've had if for over two weeks and nothing has changed.

The rugs has not stopped shedding and I've had it three weeks. All my clothes that touch it need to be washed, they are covered in fibers. My socks are covered in fibers. It clogs my vacuum it's so bad. If you want to spend the rest of your life vacuuming the fibers up, buy it. The dust bunnies are everywhere. I highly recommend you don't buy it. It looks good but isn't.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2011Law Classy rug & well-made!
This rug is just gorgeous... I have ordered 5 total for my home! It goes so great with my beach cottage style decor. The border is nice and straight, too. I also love the non-slip latex backing. The rug is VERY thick - I can't open my linen closet door without lifting the runner out of the way, but I don't mind it enough to return it. It is also very rough on bare feet - not just sensitive feet, either. But it says it gets softer with time so I'll just wait and see. Finally, I actually kind of like the seagrass smell that lingers on it for a while. It reminds me of the ocean.

I was looking for a well made seagrass rug at an affordable price and I found it. After reading all of the reviews, I decided to go for it, and I'm in love with this rug. Well made and beautiful on my handscraped hardwood floors. I don't see any green in the rug like other reviewers mentioned, and the smell disappeared in a week. I plan on buying more for other areas of my house. Very pleased!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RowleyRemodeler Well made seagrass runner
I had purchased this type of seagrass runner from another reputable online seller, only to discover that it seemed to be put together with remnants - knots could be seen everywhere. I returned it and tried again, this time it was worse. I found this strange, as I had bought a 6x9 seagrass rug from them, and it was in good shape. So I felt a little deceived, actually, about the runner.
Then I saw that Home Decorators was selling seagrass runners, and in fact, I could get an even longer version, which was perfect for me, since I have an 8' long set of french doors and wanted the rug to be longer.
It arrived and was in perfect condition - NO knots anywhere on the surface. Clearly a well-made rug.
You have my thanks and future business!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Docinga Beautiful on top, trouble underneath
I would recommend this rug, but with one big caveat: our non-skid underside disintegrated. We bought this rug 7 years ago to go in our dining room and have been extremely happy with its appearance! HOWEVER, we moved the rug for spring cleaning and discovered that the non-skid material on the bottom had dry-rotted all over. We swept and ended up with 5 inch piles of yellow 'dust'. Maybe a rug pad would help? It really is a beautiful rug that keeps is lovely appearance well and a great price here. Would love a solution for the non-skid material problem.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SouthernLivinginBama Seagrass Rug lovely and durable
I previously purchased 3 diff sizes of this rug and just added 2 more. I have 2 in my Master bath suite, adding to the spa decor. I am adding 2 to my kitchen with hardwood floors. The neutral color does not compete for attention, but the woven pattern is very interesting. I have it mixed with traditional decor and it really complements the rooms. I gave my larger rug to my in-laws when we moved to a new house. I was apalled to see that they had it outside on their covered veranda. After 1 year in the harsh Indiana elements (snow), the rug looks fantastic
