NOT WORTH $300 each!!! We wouldn't have bought these (purchased two) had we seen it in a store; it should sell for about $75-$100 max. This chair is made to California Phase 1 Compliance for formaldehyde which is less stringent than the current Phase 2 regulation. The armrest came with a dent that appears to have taken place before packaging as it was packaged well for shipment. On this impact point the faux-wood grain was chipped away and revealed the armrest is MDF and not solid wood. If we weren't returning it, it would have to be painted to match... for that matter any of the main visible parts on the upper portion are painted a faux wood grain vice stained. The color of the fabric on the chair is VERY misleading. The photo online appears to be predominately gold but it is actually closer to olive drab; it's very dark and the representation online was taken in a very bright studio setting. Ordering took 4 weeks for delivery in Virginia. As they are made in China, they are most likely ordered from overseas and then shipped to you once they arrive in the US. The day they were ordered we received the UPS shipping/tracking data but it didn't show any movement on the tracking number for just over 2 weeks. Then it took 2 weeks to cross the US from California to us. After all that, it isn't something we will keep. Very disappointed. I assembled the chair in my living room on the carpet and then placed it on a solid, level surface to tighten the screws. I moved from screw to screw tightening everything until all were solidly in place and the chair wobbles. I loosened them to get it back to balanced but it couldn't be maintained once the screws were tightened again. If you place it on a carpet like we planned it wouldn't be that much of a big deal but it isn't level so that's a hit as it's a chair... Hopefully the pictures will help you choose this chair for what it is and not as it's represented online (Home Depot sells it the cheapest but it's represented online via the same picture on all other websites).
