Customer Questions & Answers

Is this a true click-lock installation engineered flooring?

The close-up picture looks like it's tongue & groove rather than with the locking edge mechanism. Is the interlocking edge waxed/coated with water repellant substance to prevent some liquid/water penetration to HDF core?

Are all the planks in box 72" in length?

Store associate told me that box contains various sizes with a max of 72" in length but website specs only say 72" in length. What's the real story? If lengths do vary, how many of each length? Thanks

Can I use this on a wall, like paneling but better?

I'm creating a bathroom in my basement and this would look great on my accent wall behind the sink. Would it work? What do I need to consider?
Asked by: WetlakeMom
I wouldn't put it on a wall that has the back to the exterior, but you could do it safely on an interior wall. You would need to use a sealant between each board to protect against moisture, so the boards don't swell if they get wet.

We installed it a little over a year ago and it has begun to bubble up in different places all over our home. I added a photo to demonstrate. The manufacturer will not take responsibility and keeps trying to blame the "user" saying we used harsh solvents on it. We only clean it with water and a dry mop so it's definitely not that. Please please save yourself the hassle and do NOT buy this floor or it will end up looking like the picture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful floor!! easy install This flooring product was just awesome. A breeze to instal with the click lock feature and best of all bo glue mess or staples needed. This board has a plywood base MDF center and a pretty thick veneer of bamboo on top. Defintley excited that i did not get the one offered in other popular yellow stores that had a paper thin veneer. I would not be surprised if this can be refinished. Anyway get yourself a nice underlayment. I live in south florida so humidy is an issue. To bot void warranty i installed 6mil vapor barrier and robert felt underlayment on top of that. Beautiful solid floor!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest Mistake Ever Installed throughout whole main floor (around 1500 square feet in our new home we bought 5 months ago. Install easy and beautiful color, but because of the finish and color impossible to keep clean. VERY stressful. We are use to cleaning often because of kids and pets, but this is beyond frustrating. EVEN if you look at the floor a mark will be left. Have to sweep, swfter, or vacuum, followed by damp mopping every day, just to be able to tolerate it. SO dissapointed, took weeks to decide. SPENT a lot of money for something we don't even like. It's understandable that it would show dog hair, but the marks that are left from clean socks and normal every day traffic is crazy. We have normally been very happy with all our Home Depot purchases (all supplies were purchased there from the inside out for a home we built ourselves 12 years ago in MN),never complained once!!

We had previously installed Brazilian Cherry hardwood flooring on our first floor, and wanted something durable and less expensive on our second floor. This bamboo flooring was a good match for what we had downstairs, but is 20 times more durable. I have a home office upstairs, and thought about getting some kind of floor-protector for underneath my office chair, but when I went to the office supply stores, the best protectors were made of bamboo, so I guess I already have that! It's been 6 months since we installed, and you cannot find a scratch anywhere (we have two kids and two cats, too). We had most of our flooring professionally installed (since we had stair banisters to deal with and a lot of unusual cuts), but my husband and I did all the closets ourselves to save money. It was our first time installing hardwood floors, but after watching a couple of Youtube videos, we thought we could handle it, and we did! I highly recommend this product -- you'd never know it was bamboo. It has warm and very solid look to it and we have gotten lots of compliments. It's the best wood flooring we've ever had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have installed several Pergo floors, but this was my first experience with engineered bamboo. O... I have installed several Pergo floors, but this was my first experience with engineered bamboo. Overall I am extremely happy. I put in about 1100 sq ft in four bedrooms, living room and hall. My online order arrived with free shipping at my local Home Depot, and the staff loaded the pallet onto my utility trailer with no problem at all. You sure can't beat the low price. Every one of the 44 boxes were in good condition, and there were no damaged planks. The bamboo planks seem much sturdier than typical laminate, installed with ease, and minimal tapping. Almost all the boards are 6 ft long, but occasionally a box had one length divided into two pieces, like 2 ft and 4 ft. This was actually advantageous, eliminating a cut or two. I used a miter saw to cut the boards to length, and ripped some pieces to fit on my table saw. The material is very hard and requires a sharp saw blade. It also generates a lot of very fine brown sawdust. The finished surface is very good looking, with ample variety in colors and patterns. Some boards are fairly plain, while others are almost tiger striped, with a lot of dark/light variation. We like the antique effect, and the finish is just right for our house. The surface appears to be very hard and durable. I accidentally dropped tools (hammer, etc.) and didn't leave any visible marks. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER Bought flooring from this manufacturer and it's been installed for just a few months... it is buckled and bowing and is a complete disaster. Cannot get a response from either the manufacturer or Home Depot about the issue. Flooring was installed properly with expansion gap, base moulding is not pinching, so installation is not the problem. Flooring was acclimated to house for 3-5 months before installation. Actually have a section where the boards bowed so bad the "lock" broke so the boards now overlap. This is happening in almost 10 different sections, two different levels of the house, where flooring is over brand new subfloor and existing flooring. Having almost $10K invested in flooring to have it be ruined is not acceptable...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! This is a great product, very easy to install and looks great! It's a dark color, so it does show dust easily, my Neato BotVac keeps that under control and I clean it with Bona once in while. I've had it installed in my master bedroom for 5 years and the only visible scratches are where the legs of the bed were since I didn't put felt pads on it. A few weeks ago I replaced the office laminate and den carpet with the same product. Two boxes were heavily damaged, they looked like they were hit by a fork lift, Home Depot replaced them without any issue. The floors look amazing! Note: If you need to stain wood to match the floor, Varathane Kona matches the floor perfectly!
