I have not yet unrolled the runner and round area rug I ordered because the color I wanted--eggplant--if it is eggplant, is a very anemic version. I would consider it more maroon or burgundy. The bottom line is that it does not match the room décor. I ordered the rugs because the price was excellent and shipping was free; however, to ship them back would probably cost more than I paid for the rugs, so I'm debating how or if I will use them.

I was so excited to find this carpet Jute and cotton blend for my liviingroom makeover, jute for durability, cotton for softness when I walk barefoot on it. The color accented my living room perfect.
Upon receiving I put my new carpet in my living room and within a day it began unraveling. the carpet has a great Jute foundation with delicate cotton fibers woven over to create a soft texture. the cotton is literally not attached securely and unravels easily. The rug unraveled on day one leaving huge bare patches looking like I retrieved my new rug from the town dump. I am so sad I wasted my money on this!

I got this rug way faster than it said I was going to. Which is great. the rug is sort of like a really big thick blanket so you need a non slip pad underneath if it is going to lay without anything on top of it. It's soft under your feet and the color is good. One thing however- it starting getting kind of a dusty looking day one. It attracts lint, animal hair right away. If you vacuum alot this will work for you. I got the indigo so that might be the problem, maybe if you try the lighter colors. I wanted a woven type looking rug but wanted it soft and it is and looks good but it gets dirty really easy. Not a huge deal but thought I would mention it. I like it anyway.

Our rug arrived yesterday and it is beautiful. We love it!
We ordered the moss green one and the color is gorgeous. The texture of the rug is great: the wool jute blend makes it much softer than the all jute versions we have owned in the past.
The rug looks extremely well made and is a terrific value for the money.
There was a mention of the "smell" in another review. Our rug had no unpleasant smell to it only a very light natural scent that you normally get with a natural rug. It is almost non-existent, not unpleasant, and will fade away totally within a day or two.
Great purchase we are totally pleased!

I am so very pleased with this rug. The dark natural color was perfect - didn't want it to be too dark and it isn't, just a nice tan that won't show that much traffic stains. I don't have pets, just kids and it is very soft and cozy - not at all scratchy. Laid flat and smelled a bit funny for a few hours - no big deal at all to me! There were a few random strands of yarn / wool that I pulled off - again no big deal. My sister has the PB version of this and I feel like this is very comparable if not better b/c it is bound. Shedding hasn't been a problem compared to other wool rugs I have and I have now had this for about 3 weeks. If it does begin to shed, I know it just comes with the territory!

I looked at this rug in the store to compare it to the other jute rugs. This wool and jute rug was softer and more, well, rug like than the others. Given that I would be sitting on the rug rather than on furniture (small dogs, play time, etc) I felt it would be less scratchy. And it was. I would recommend this rug as a good compromise when jute is needed, but you also have to be able to walk in bare feet on it, if you know what i mean...
ps the dogs loved it, too.
(I did have to return it because it was too big for the room, but for the 24 hours I had it, i really liked it).

We ordered this rug for our son's room. We didn't want a long shag rug b/c we felt that would be harder to clean & more feminine in appearance...plus they were considerably more expensive. We were looking for something that would be durable, attractive & slightly masculine. This fit the bill 100%. I was afraid the color would be off with ordering online but was COMPLETELY satisfied with the shade (exact to what I saw online when ordering). It arrived within 2 days!!!(& I didn't pay for rush delivery). We are extremely pleased with the purchase & will shop here again!

I reviewed this rug a year ago right after I got it and gave 5 stars... I am now shopping for a new rug. This rug SHEDS... I have vacuumed up several sheep worth of wool, clogging and ruining the motor of one very expensive vacuum. I find cotton ball sized dust bunnies from this rug all over my house. The weave is very loose, so the wool comes right off. Also, if you have a dog this rug is not for you. My dog plays and runs across this rug and his nails catch the loops and pull them, so the rug looks terrible. Between its shabby appearance and my irritation with all the loose fuzz, this rug has to go! I thought it would last much longer and be more durable, but I do appreciate the natural fiber, and it is soft under foot.
