Is there a door handle on both sides of the door. I am using for door between bedroom and bathroom.

The door will fold into the bathroom so if you want to shut from the bedroom how do you pull it in to close?
Asked by: Stormy
Yes it comes with a wooden door handle. You need to drill the handle hole on the door.

Will a 36" door work on a 35.75" door opening?

I see that the door is really only 35.75" wide, but does that mean that I can use it on a door opening that is only 35.75" wide, or is there .25" of hardware that will be a problem?
Asked by: Desperatefordoor
We have installed several bifold doors, but all wood, so there is room to sand for slight adjustments. I figure by now you've purchased a door and made it work. Don't ever listen to what Community Answers says!

36 in. x 80 in. 3 in. Louver/Louver Maple Composite Interior Closet Bi-fold Door is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 139.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and inexpensive update I love the louver look! I have white wood slat blinds throughout my house and this is a fantastic way to pull the look off of your windows and tie it into the rest of the house!! They come in various measurements, as well as colors, and are readily available on homedepot.com. Keep in mind that these are lighter weight than wood as they are made of composite vinyl material but even so, they feel decently durable and solid. Also no need to paint them andd they;er easier to clean. All at a decent price. Great look at a great price.

Unit couldn't be easier to install. Felt a little on the cheap side, but will not be used often at this location. Not sure if I would put one in a area that gets a lot of use. Cannot verify the longevity.

The quality and finish of the doors on the surface is good. they were simple to install and adjust for the most part. However, I needed to install two together and have them open in opposite directions. While the rail is perfectly aligned and there are no obstructions in the way, the doors don't line up perfect. One of them has a tendency to bend away. I tried adjusting the railing and the way the door was installed, but it doesn't help much. When closed, the door is perfect, is only when extended that it does that. I didn't return it as the door was for a rental unit and it was being rented that week, these are available online only and I didn't want to be w/out the doors for my new tenant. But if necessary, I would buy these again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Do It Yourself Closet Doors Four sets of closet doors shipped to our home were well packed and came through with no shipping damage at all. Unfortunately, due to the way our house was built, these standard length doors of 80 inches needed to be trimmed 3/4-inches. With considerable angst at potentially ruining the nice dark cherry finish, I got out the circular saw, taped the cut line, and set a guide for a straight cut. Much to my surprise, the PVC material (not wood!) cut easily leaving a neat, crisp line. After that, the installation was actually easy and straight forward by following the enclosed instructions. The doors functioned properly immediately after installation and looked great. We are very pleased with this product and now intend to do more closet doors the same way.

When I went to HD to purchase wood bi-fold louvered doors I saw a sample of the Home Fashion Composite doors and it seemed to be a very good idea verses a wood product that would tend to warp and would also have to be finished with stain and a protectant. I also like the idea of keeping a composite door clean, even removing them and washing with a garden hose outdoors. Also the add advertises that they will not warp. They are only installed two days but they look great, color is perfect, very easy to open and close, quality is more than expected. One concern I had was the height opening. The instructions inside the box gives instructions to cut the bottom of doors if your height is an issue. The brochure does not mention this option and HD didn't have any information on it. So far completely satisified

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks good, easy to install Door replaced an old wooden door - see photos - and brightened up a dull space. Very pleased with the look. Installation was simple and can be done by one person, unless dealing with an extra large door. I had to cut mine down, which was also simple with a circular saw - just be sure to remove all the trim at the bottom. Width cannot be adjusted, so make sure it fits your space. Cleans easily. Seems durable. The knob can be replaced if you want to match your own hardware. My only complaint is with the painting. Instructions call for spray painting with an oil based paint - which most DIYers aren't going to do. I tried brush painting (didn't have a roller) a small area, but the result wasn't great. Since most customers will want to paint the door, it should come primed to paint with a roller and water based paint.

I love this door it has transformed the hallway into my bedroom I love the wide louvres gives it a very modern look,It was very easy to install my husband was surprised, we completed the installation in about an hour. Before this my bedroom door and the closet door would hit each other when they were both open at the same time, also the closet is now ventilated because of the louvres We have had the door for about 2 weeks and I have only good things to say about it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not wood -- plastic junk If you want a bifold door that lasts more than 6 months, don't order "Wood Classics." They're not wood. This one, like the one I ordered in 2012, is made by Home Fashion Technologies, If you go to the manufacturer's website (which I just did), you'll find that they don't make WOOD doors -- they use plastic. And here's what happened to me -- the screws holding the hinges between the two bifold panels pulled out. I discovered, they were essentially screwed into air. I tried to fix the situation by inserting small pieces of wood into the screw holes and putting it all back together, but it came apart again and is now in two pieces, completely unusable. Complete junk.
