Answer:
Yes, it is definitely stained darker to give its appearance. a few little deeper scratches show the inner yellowish wood. some splinters show up if not cut properly.

Definitely stained. It's a dark red/brown - but the unfinished portion is an orange/brown. Would be pretty to have the option of refinishing w/ a clear coat next time around I'm sure

Looks like laminate, there surely is some artifical coating on top to make it look darker and uniform, but even that has peeled off in several places at the ends of the wood plank.

It is an OK grade, not too great not too bad. except for a few barely noticeable variations the planks were really nicely & evenly cut. beveled finish gives a good wooden floor feeling.

Answer:
The beveling is enough to create a decorate edge and trap dirt basically. Not extreme, but more to make definitive "lines" in the floor I think. We've installed this product, and I'm not sure what the point is to this beveling. I think I would have preferred straight. I'm sure the next time we refinish, those bevels will get sanded down anyhow.

Brazilian Cherry 3/4 in. T x 4-7/8 in. W x Random Length Solid Exotic Hardwood Flooring (19.26 sq. ft. / case) is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 14.

Installed 1800 sq ft in 2013, and 3 years later floors still look like new. I did stairs as well with the bullnose pieces offered through manufacturer. Worked well, however it is made from MDF with a veneer top. Was able to make my own bullnose pieces for the second stair run and turned out much better. I purchased flush mount cherry floor vents (unstained) from a third party. Rust OLeum or Varathane Cabernet stain matches exactly. Use MinWax Dark Mahogany Stain Marker for scratches. Deeper imperfections or scratches can be sanded completely, stained, and then poly'd with a satin finish poly. I found a sponge brush worked best for poly coat in leaving virtually no brush marks. Finished pieces are virtually undetectable from original up close, and even less noticeable when installed.

Even the wood itself is questionable, I have another Brazilian cherry plank and the grain and pores characteristics does not even come close to this product. It looks to me like a hardwood from asia that simply resembles a brazilian cherry then heavily coated to fool unsuspecting buyers. Good thing I only used this in a small area. I'm just going to sand the whole floor and refinish it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Product I am experiencing blistering throughout the home. I purchased 2400+ sq feet for new home build.....Filed claim with home depot but no one has contacted me yet....

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst decision we have made As with other customers we now have blistering in areas. We purchased approx. 1200 sq ft of this wood for our new renovation and are so disappointed. Everything looks so goo in the new reno except the wood floors. We also purchased cherry wood from a wholesaler for our stairs. the installer stain and installed the stairs and we have had no issues. Love the color but we are out somewhere between $10K - $12K for product and install. We do not know what to do or where do go if Home Depot is unwilling to assist. Also like the other reviews this wood scratches so easy and impressions from heavy items will leave an indent. We bought cherry for the hardness rating and color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I put this in my brand new home, worse decision ever. it laid down easy and looked beautiful for about a month. it scratches unbelievably easy but thats not why im so disappointed in it. After a month the prefinished started bubbling and peeling off, everyday I see a new board that looked fine a few days ago look destroyed. Home Depot has sent two flooring inspectors out so far and although they can't tell me what's going to be in the reports the look on their faces after seeing it says it all. This is not a hardwood floor this is basically a particle board with a plastic/laminate finish over top. it really disappoints me because I like the color and look that it had when it was first laid down

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product has been a nightmare Within days you could see spaces between the wood. A few floor boards lifted. The finish started bubbling and peeling on a few other boards. Manufacturer sent someone out to look at it. They agreed to replace it but did not want to pay for the installation stating "the humidity caused the problem". Home Depot graciously took care of that. When they started to put down the new floor the installer said he could see the same issue and he had opened several boxes. With half a hallway completed he stated if he did any more work it would null and void a replacement. Bottom line now we have to pick out another floor. And did I mention this has been going on for 6 months and at of the moment I have plywood in my dining room, foyer and downstairs hallway waiting on Home Depot to figure out this horrible situation and it has been well over a week with no fix. Unacceptable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not recommend I am very dis-satisfied with this product. Started to peel after only 2 weeks in the house

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful, yet im not impressed. We purchased around 1000 SF of this cherry flooring. 1. The stain on this is much darker than average you cannot find a match to stain unfinished pieces to match. But, it does match the sample in the store. 2. We chose cherry because it is supposed to be more durable, like another comment, I find that the slightest thing will dent and scratch this floor. 3. We have not had any issues with the finish coming off yet, but it has only been in a few weeks. 4. This was a HUGE deal for us. We decided to do our stairs as well. So we ordered the coordinating stair nose. IT IS NOT SOLID CHERRY!! It is HDF or MDF. Yes like the junk from Ikea! So the installer and contractor refused to use it. The bottom 5 stairs in my house have an open end. This would be so cheap looking. We had to go out and find unfinished solid cherry stair nose from another company. They didnt match in thickness and matching the stain was an issue. So we then had to spend even more $$ on Solid Stair Treads, from another company. We are doing the best we can to match the stain. 5. There were some boards that were only slightly bowed. Now that the floor is in I am finding gaps, but the ends are flush. 6. The pieces are not long, making it harder for a mix
