Hand Scraped 1/2 in. Cross-grain Plywood floors are sealed with a 7-layer aluminum oxide finish, providing protection from everyday wear. This product has achieved Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification and has been tested for more than 10,000 volatile organic compounds, including formaldehyde, to meet these standards. The tongue and groove installation is easy and economical; above grade, on grade and below grade. Hand scraped flooring is sculpted by hand to create vivid texture and unique richness of characteristics in each plank. The elegance and look of the floor will create a beautiful illusion in your home.

should i use a foam padding under 1/2" enginered wood flooring

I have installed an enginered floor with glue once before where I used a foam underlay underneath. Wondering if I shoud use foam agian with this 1/2" enginered flooring or should I just nail it instead?

Answer: 
A foam underlayment is reserved for a click and lock floating floor. Engineered floors instead require a 6 mil polyethylene layer or 15# roofing felt or resin paper. This will help block moisture from below and help prevent squeaks.

Answer: 
My professional installer glued down with no underlay and we love it! I am not sure when you are nailing. If you are on laying on a sub board and doing a nail down (which I will be doing next on my second floor) I would most likely lay and underlay. I am not a professional just my opinion. Good luck!

Dear customer, many hardwood floors are installed in homes with pets, however, a pet's nails may scratch the finish of the wood flooring. It is recommended to keep the pet's nails trimmed and any messes are cleaned immediately. While this product is dent and scratch resistant it is by no means dent or scratch proof. What is the thickness of the top surface layer? 1mm or 2mm? It's not stated in the specs.

Answer:
