Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really like it Yah, we definitely like it. Installation was very good, clean and steady. Just cut and put in place. The flooring looks excellent and we haven't had any major scratching issues after 6 months. We'll probably do more rooms in this flooring. December 18, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This product disappoints We had professional installation of this product and the appearance is as expected. The unexpected is the sound when walked upon--sounding like bubble wrap. When we contacted Home Legends the response was very scripted, "The noise will stop within a month of installation." It didn't quiet and the service about our complaint has been negative, an adjustor came to our home and gathered info and now the manufacturer says it was incorrectly installed, that our floor was unsuitably uneven, that there is no fault in the product. We used the best underlayment and while there is one uneven place in the concrete below, the entire floor continues to creak and pop five months later. We feel we have no recourse but to replace it with another product at our expense--meanwhile we feel as if we have a poorly made modular addition we're embarrassed to invite friends into because of the noise. We will not replace with this product but don't know what to do since it'll be at our expense--including installation. January 5, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good, scrapes a little I installed this floor about a year ago in our master bedroom and throughout the hallway. I installed it by myself in about 8 hours, so not too bad at all. It looks really nice and I have overall been happy with it. We have two dogs, and it has stood up to them pretty well. In some places if you get down on your knees and look sideways in the right light you can see some scratches but nothing when you are walking on it. We have no problems with it cracking or anything like that, and I used the cheapest underlayment I could find. It will definitely scratch if you drop heavy things on it, I was moving the top part of a heavy wooden desk and it fell and left a mark, but I think that would have happened with regular hardwood floors too. Overall a good value and I am happy with it. For those looking for a reasonably priced solution for not having carpet, I honestly would consider laminate floors over these though, they make some really nice laminates that look like real wood floors basically and are almost indestructible. Just something to consider. December 8, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great for the value I hired a flooring guy to install this for me, and it looks really great. You can tell from up close that it's not real wood, obviously, but the overall impression is a huge improvement over carpet, I think. I put this in a house that I am selling, and I will probably use it again. July 27, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Some defects Did one room and like the product. Ordered 21 additional boxes but had damage or miscut click lock seams in two of the boxes (lost 5 planks) Also the first order had random length planks (24" and 48") but the second order was all 48" even though boxes and instructions indicated random March 8, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good, but... There are some details that I wish I had known prior to buying this flooring. I ordered about 26 boxes online and also purchased several boxes in store. There appear to be two different box types for this flooring, one has ONLY full length pieces and one has some smaller "random" length pieces and also full length pieces. If you are picking boxes in store look for boxes that are marked as "length planks" on the side, these are the boxes with ONLY full length planks. Boxes don't have this marking also have the shorter pieces. Also, be careful when installing, some planks do not lock together well. It appears that different batches can have small differences in the locking groves which prevent the boards from lying flat when locked together. This will create bubbles in the floor. And one more thing. The finish variation between the boxes can be pretty large. Some have a lot of red in the finish and some are more grey. Seems like the quality control is pretty loose.
