Answer:
This is a floating floor, you don't need plywood if it is already level and dry. Just a good underlayment and you are good to go.

Answer:
This model number of flooring, the HL124H, is designed as a floating floor, but can be installed as a full-spread glue down. Over a concrete floor, the floor would either have to be floated over a moisture barrier underlayment, or glued directly to the concrete, using a moisture cured urethane flooring adhesive.

Answer:
I assume you mean what works best, obviously you can install whatever you want. TIle is probably the best choice, but in certain circumstances wood floor is ok too. Laminate can also work, but tiles is definitely your best choice.

All of our Home Legend floors can be installed in a bathroom and still maintain its warranty. There are specific installation instructions that pertain to an installation in a bathroom, aka a 'wet area'. They will be included in the installation instructions of our products.

Hello Jason and thank you for your question.
The Home Legend Hand Scraped Maple Country Click Lock Hardwood Flooring is beautiful!
Bathroom (wet) installations require that the floor be waterproof and water-resistant since prolonged water exposure could damage your new wood flooring. This product can work in your bathroom. You may need to use a secured area rug or mat with a non-marking (non-rubber) protective backing and take care to control the water exposure and humidity in the bathroom. The Home Legend Click Lock Hardwood Flooring is NOT recommended for extreme humid applications such as in saunas or swimming pool areas.
As for maintenance: the manufacturer recommends using a duster mop - never use wax or varnish coating on the floor – and wet maintenance is absolutely forbidden. Standing water should be removed immediately.
Further information and installation specifications for wet areas can be found on pages 4-5 of the Installation Instructions found here: http://www.homelegend.com/pdfs/Engineered%20Click%20Wood_Installation_Instructions_06-01-10.pdf.
If you have concerns about using a click-lock product in your bathroom, consider a vinyl floor or ceramic tile which will be durable, stain resistant, and require minimal maintenance.

Answer:
Its about 2 milimeters or so. The finish is pretty tough though, it is reasonably resistant to scratching. Heavy heavy traffic or big dogs will eventually scratch though. Drop anything heavy enough to make it through the finish and you pretty much go through the top layer though. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! Excellent product! We installed 700 sqft of it three years ago and it great! I plan on putting 400 sqft more in this spring. Would absolutely recommend! April 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent product for the cost. Installed 150 square ft. in my home office. Just a test to see how it holds up to me and the puppy. Very easy to install. There seems to be a waxed coating on the joints to help in assembly and also when you have to install a plank and tap it lengthwise to go under an existing door trim molding. Cuts clean and easy. I purchased better underlayment pad from a flooring specialty store. I know it's all about the cost, but would only install in the rest of the house if it was available in all full lengths and that is not available. You just get what you get. Pleased that I chose this product and will have to see how it holds up. January 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks great for the value I hired a flooring guy to install this for me, and it looks really great. You can tell from up close that it's not real wood, obviously, but the overall impression is a huge improvement over carpet, I think. I put this in a house that I am selling, and I will probably use it again. July 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really like it Yah, we definitely like it. Installation was very good, clean and steady. Just cut and put in place. The flooring looks excellent and we haven't had any major scratching issues after 6 months. We'll probably do more rooms in this flooring. December 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible! Doesn't last! We had this flooring installed professionally in our dining room and kitchen about 18 months ago. It scratches and dents like crazy!! The scratches are white because the finish is scratching off. It's horrible! We even use felt pads under our table and chairs, clean the pads off regularly, sweep daily, wash the floor weekly. What else can we do? My husband took a leftover plank and did a "practice" run on trying to sand and refinish the wood. It just sands to a larger white, sanded area. We sent a claim to the manufacturer -pictures and all - and they wont cover it. "Scratches and dents aren't covered by the warranty", they responded. So much for a 55 year warranty! Now we are trying to see if Home Depot will do anything for us. Let's hope they stand behind their product. I don't recommend this to anyone! We are going to be forced to replaced it. The scratches are so obvious! May 28, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good, but... There are some details that I wish I had known prior to buying this flooring. I ordered about 26 boxes online and also purchased several boxes in store. There appear to be two different box types for this flooring, one has ONLY full length pieces and one has some smaller "random" length pieces and also full length pieces. If you are picking boxes in store look for boxes that are marked as "length planks" on the side, these are the boxes with ONLY full length planks. Boxes don't have this marking also have the shorter pieces. Also, be careful when installing, some planks do not lock together well. It appears that different batches can have small differences in the locking groves which prevent the boards from lying flat when locked together. This will create bubbles in the floor. And one more thing. The finish variation between the boxes can be pretty large. Some have a lot of red in the finish and some are more grey. Seems like the quality control is pretty loose. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product! Great product. Very easy to install and is durable, I don't see any scratches on it yet and have a chocolate lab on it daily January 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful hand scraped appearance, easy to work with Beautiful floor and easy to install. The price for this click lock flooring is excellent. I also like the random lengths. Purchased 1700 sq/ft December 1, 2013
