Excellent looking floor. I glued the floor down which was kind of messy and added to the install time, but I expected that.
The jury is out for now on durability/wearability issues--the care instructions lead to some concerns--no water based cleaners, polishes, high heeled shoes etc. on the floor, leading one to wonder how it will stand up over the long haul.
The look of the floor is very unique--the grain in the maple is quite diverse piece to piece and you have to lay several rows out at a time to try to match color and grain. I like jig saw puzzles and this flooring is kind of like that.
Overall, very nice look and I'm very satisfied with it.

My wife chose this flooring. She usually goes with the cheapest thing possible. So I was really surprised by this choice. It has the hand-scraped finish. So you don't have to worry about anything looking damaged. :) A number of pieces were bowed. But it didn't matter because it was glued down and nailed as needed. BTW, we installed it on the stairs. Very happy with the end result. Only problem is the stairs look so much better than the rest of the house now. Guess we'll have to gradually upgrade everything else.

This flooring was installed a year ago in my kitchen and family room. I love, love, love this flooring. The color is perfect to hide both dirt and dust, which means that if I don't get to mop as often as I wish I'm not embarrassed if someone drops in. I highly recommend it for its durability and value.

After searching for a long time, at both big box and local flooring stores, we finally stumbled across this flooring at Home Depot. We had been looking for durable, engineered floor to replace some ugly laminate in our kitchen.
This stuff was perfect for us.
-Lightly hand scraped, but not too noticeable or 'machine' repetitive.
-It have some great distressed features, which we really like and will hopefully help mask / subdue any damage that may occur from dropped items or our Golden Retriever.
-The color variation between planks / boxes is slight and not overly noticeable, but really adds to the character of the floor along with the occasional knots. (Definitely open and mix planks between boxes)
-Prefered the engineered over laminate and solid hardwood due to the thinner profile, but real wood warmth, quality and character.
-We did staple down installation with Bostich EHF1838K and it went very smoothly.
-Used Aquabar B underlayment from Home Depot. Very pleased with price and durability (Check it out.)
Has not scratched yet, but haven't had it install too long, and we are being careful and trying to keep it clean.
