When it comes to floor care and maintenance, there are two methods of cleaning: dry cleaning and wet cleaning. Here are our recommendations towards both:
Dry Cleaning: This method of cleaning is recommended to be performed first before wet cleaning is done. A dust mop or the Swiffer Dry is a great choice for this cleaning method. Do not use vacuum cleaners; the bristles may scour the flooring finish.
Wet Cleaning: The flooring is stain resistant, so no heavy chemicals or solvents are necessary for proper cleaning. We recommend distilled water for basic cleaning, using a dampened microfiber mop/cloth as the cleaning tool. For tougher cleaning jobs, adding denatured alcohol will boost the power of the distilled water. In both cases, add the water/alcohol to the tool, then go over the floor with the slightly damp mop/cloth. Please properly dilute the denatured alcohol, according to the instructions on the denatured alcohol container. Avoid any cleaners with waxes, oils, or polishes as either active or inactive ingredients; they will leave a residue behind. Pre-sealed floor cleaners (such as the Bona© Tile, Stone and Laminate floor cleaner) can be used, but each should be tested in an inconspicuous area before committed to the whole floor. We also do not recommend steam mops; the heat from the steam may damage the finish on the flooring. Read Less

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gorgeous floor I installed this floor in my bedrooms and hallway in July 2012. It looks just like the store samples. Beautiful color, not too dark for a hallway with no outside light. Complements any type of decor and colors. I really like the width of the planks. I've never attempted a project like this, but caught on fairly quickly. Felt pads under the furniture protect the surface. Like many other reviews, I do have dogs, but I have had no scratches. There have been a couple of pet accidents but it cleaned up easily and did not penetrate the surface or leave any stain or marks. Very easy to maintain and keep clean. I would recommend it to anyone. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Shade, Very Easy to Install My husband and I just bought our first home and we were excited at the idea of putting in hardwood flooring. The task was somewhat daunting but we did a lot of research online and went into the store to look at samples. I'm not one that likes a lot of the "cherry" shades out there but honestly I love the warmth in this color. It was simple to install over both concrete on our first floor and the plywood subfloor on the second floor of our home. We loved it so much, we decided to install it in our master bedroom, upstairs hallway and office nook. August 1, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price Just installed this flooring myself this past week. Was easy to work with and looks very nice.Only time will tell on the wear and tear. It has a fiber board center, witch I wasn't too thrilled about, but seemes to be ok. I found some outher flooring from another company the same size and almost same color that was almost twice the price. It was solid wood no fiber board. So I guess for the price it was a good deal. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful floor, but it dents easily! I ordered 27 boxes and the installed floor is really beautiful. I love the warm tone. My installer liked the quality, said it installed well and that there were fewer waste/unusable boards then he would have expected. Careful though, I dented it about 2 hours after the install was complete...dropped my camera on it, oh well, guess that gives it character. April 17, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome & Beautiful We purchased this flooring for our home & loved it so much, that we are now purchasing this flooring for our new home & will do the entire house... It does scratch, but it is an easy fix & well worth the money. Great value, beautiful flooring! April 26, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dissapointed that they discontinued the variable length I installed this flooring in 2 guest bedrooms and a hallway back in early 2012. I stopped the installation at the master bedroom because of cost constraints. Just last week mid-Oct 2013, I ordered 9 more cases in order to do the master bedroom. Well the flooring arrived yesterday and to my dismay it does not have the variable length pieces that all the other cases had last year. I'm really disappointed in this fact, because how am I going to lock the pieces end-to-end (as I did last year)? Why would they change the product with out a warning or a heads up to the consumer. There should be a special note on the web site stating that 'this product is no longer available in variable length sizes'. October 26, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good but not great.... For the price, this seems to be a good deal. The product was easy to install, but is not of the highest quality. I would give it 3 stars for quality, 4 stars for looks and ease of installation. It does scratch fairly easily. We have two dogs and their nails do not scratch the floor, but any furniture with rough legs or feet such as our wood TV trays do scratch so be sure to put felt pads beneath any and all furniture not matter how small or light it may be. Also, if you have stones or anything rough on the bottom of your shoes it will scratch the floor as well. I would advise putting rugs at every outside door entrance. We take our shoes off once we enter the house. Not a bad product for the cost, but certainly not and great product either. July 9, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by recomend Very easy to install and looks great I liked it so much that I'm willing to take a few minutes to fill the review out. Because its very flexable and coushin like, I would recomend on level or very close to level surfaces Although the product has a hard surface, I would not recomend it for a heavy traffic area. Despite the recomendation on how to clean, [which leave very little options], I've cleaned the product using a mop and oil soap and water at least 1 dozen times over the last 9 months hand have had no issues with appearance.
