Answer:
You could but it already looks pretty glossy. Poly is not really that good on a floor though. It will show scuff marks.

Do you use 6 mil underlayment/moisture barrier or the "bubble wrap" variety? I will be doing installation on wood subfloor as well as concrete slab.

I used the bubble wrap over concrete and you don't notice it but over wood subfloor(upstairs) you can hear the noise sometimes. I guess it will stop eventually.

Answer:
A moisture barrier is required when installing over concrete. Over wood, a moisture barrier is not recommended.
Using a 6 mil poly film or product with the same moisture blocking abilities will fulfill the requirements for the moisture barrier over concrete.

I used Roberts Blackjack 2.5mm Premium underlayment over a wood subfloor. It provides cushioning and noise reduction but the subfloor must still be level (that is, no ridges, lips, etc...sand it flat).

Although I have not needed to repair any of the seven floors I have installed in the past. I purchase this floor because it has a top veneer of a little over 1/16" and could be repaired or re-sanded if needed.

Answer:
No, the waves of the "hand scraped" texture are deeper than the thickness of the veneer so if you sanded it you would go through the veneer on the high points before you touched the low points.

Hello Harvey and thank you for your question.
The Home Legend Hand Scraped Maple Sedona Click Lock Hardwood Flooring is not designed to be sanded and refinished. You can replace a plank if it becomes damaged, otherwise the warranty will be voided.
Best wishes on your project.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation and great value This is the 7th floating floor I have installed over 15 years. Engineered floor have improved over this time period. This is a good choice (3/8") because it has a thicker top veneer and could be repaired (sanded) if needed. The installation needs basic DIYer tools. I usually use the cheapest underlayment, but if your budget can stand it, upgrade to a 3-1 underlayment. It goes down easier and gives the floor a more solid feeling. I put together a generic how to that can be used and answers a lot of questions. click on: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bVeq7Czgw9TXk5Tk9NeXdUODg/view?usp=sharing September 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really happy with the appearance of this floor. This is a great floor solution. Looks great and is easy to install. I decided to lay the floor on the diagonal, which is a lot more work and you use more flooring, but it resulted in a unique look. Very happy to recommend this product. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice This is the second time I have purchased this grade of engineered flooring. Every once in a while I purchase less quality flooring and figure "its good enough" and every time I am wrong! This stuff is wonderful, easy to install and of excellent quality. All of the locking prices were absolutely perfect, making the joints look great. I am a wood products engineer by profession and a wood scientist by education, so I have a lifetime of study of these kinds of products and I highly recommend this one. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful results.very easy to install.Very durabil Replaced horrible laminate with this product and the flooring gave the entire house a much warmer appearance.THE hand scraped look was a nice departure from the typical flooring, more character. February 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Installed about 750 sq.ft. over a year ago. Looks great and and is still in excellent shape. We don't have heavy wear, but there are still no scratches or blemishes. There were only a few damaged pieces and with the multiple lengths in the box there was very little scrap. We planned for 10% overage and had several boxes left over. Our installation had lots of corners and doors and was installed on concrete which was previously carpeted. We had a carpenter help us and I am glad we did: the concrete was uneven so we added a level-cure product to flatten it out, and with all the corners and doors some of the cuts and install were challenging. I would definitely buy this product, or products from the same manufacturer again. June 14, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation, looks great! We put this floor down about 3 months ago in the master bedroom and love it. Looking at the hand-scraped samples in the store doesn't do it justice. While it might appear "wavy" up close, the floor picks up the light and looks gorgeous. I want to continue the flooring right through the living room but it looks like Home Depot no longer has Maple Sedona :( June 27, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hand Scraped Maple Sedona 3/8 in. Thick x 4-3/4 in.Wide x 47-1/4 in. Length Click Lock Hardwood Flooring The flooring was consistent in color and quality. Click together installation was fairly simple however, when filling narrow areas against a wall it was difficult to get down and had to nail it. Otherwise we really like the flooring and it's final appearance. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing quality at an affordable price!! We have never installed wood flooring before, and had no idea if we would be able to do it all ourselves. This flooring removed all doubt. It is so forgiving of errors, and any piece can be removed and replaced during installation without any trouble. The boards are incredible, as there are distressed markings, scrapes, etc., which lend to the richness of each individual plank. Once down, this flooring proves amazingly rich in texture, soft under bare feet, not slippery, and most of all warm in the winter and cool in the summer! Our pets especially love them for these reasons, and seem more happy stretched out on the floor than on the furniture! The surface is extremely scratch-resistant, almost to the point of impossible to damage! Our big Ragdoll cats chase one another across the entire home, and there are no scratches to be found (even though we hear and watch them scraping and sliding from room to room). This flooring is SO superior to laminate in that you can "stand" on this wood for hours (if you had to) without any stress, strain or pain to your feet or legs. Laminate is not kind to feet (too thin), and does not embrace standing for any period of time. Real wood is simply too much trouble and not as durable (our personal opinion). This click and lock engineered wood is absolutely the best buy and value for the money. It appears to be a much more expensive flooring than the price we paid. It never moves or makes any sound. We purchased the top padding which is recommended for this flooring. The top-rated padding adds a level of protection between the concrete and the wood. I LOVE the way this flooring looks against all other woods in our home, including white cabinets in the kitchen. It's incredibly luxurious and rich-looking too!! You just can't beat this flooring for the price. The quality would cost four times this much at any other retailer. July 15, 2015
