We ordered this because it was supposed to be brown. The samples we saw were brown ansd it appears brown on this website. The wood we got was more red, and when we complained the response was, "there is always some variation"
The flooring is nice, for someoene who wanted red floors it would be great but we paid 10,000 for brown floors. Look at the example on the website and then take a look at the pic of this product just installed in my house

I'm so sorry I didn't read the reviews before I purchased and installed this floor. We installed in our kitchen and dining room. The floor is very beautiful.. BUT... it has more scratches and dents in the short 2 months we've had them. It is NOT durable at all. We've always had Bruce hardwood floors- and in the future we will ONLY use Bruce. I had a 98 pound dog with our other floors and no scratches! I have a 50 pound dog and the floors look like they're 20 years old. I had to buy lots of area rugs to cut down on the damage that was being done from everyday use. I'm very sorry I purchased this brand.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by sam0705 Nice looking but some issues
As other commenters I like the look of this floor. However, as was also mentioned, the widths vary. I have a lot of gaps despite the fact that my installer was pretty painstaking in trying to mix and match to avoid it. When he saw the variations he suggested that I return the wood but we had to move out of our home during a renovation and I wanted to avoid the delay. I have a long runner covering most of the bad gaps, but before that they were driving me crazy. Part my fault, part installation, part product.
We have a dog and kids and I'm not noticing many problems with scratching. We do have some dents where new appliances were put in but nothing that took off the finish.
Oh and this was installed in a kitchen.

While this flooring is absolutely beautiful, and the installation team from Home Depot was awesome, the floor scratches WAY too easily. Within days of installation, we had gouges in the floor from our black lab. We have had the floor for 2 months, and it is covered with scratches!
I would NOT recommend this floor to anyone with a dog that runs to the door when someone stops by. He leaves a scratch/gouge everytime he runs, even after having his nails trimmed and ground. So disappointed!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by edpbb This flooring is for looks only.
Within 24 hours of installation, this flooring had scratches in it from my cats. The finish was substandard. The contractor contacted Home Legends and they sent an inspector out to look at it. They said there was nothing wrong and gave me "hints" on how to avoid scratches. My other hardwood floors and my leather sofas do not have scratches and are 7 years old. I had to have it professionally fixed and resealed. We took the samples and the leftover pieces and showed the inspector how easy it was to scratch with a key, ballpoint pen, a dinner knife, etc. Since resealing it with a high grade sealer, it hasn't scratched. My contractor was very surprised at the poor quality and will definitely not use Home Legends products. This was an expensive floor and was put in a home office. This floor would not hold up in a heavy traffic room or in a household with children.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Skiman Looks great but finish is very easily scratched
Product looks great and easy to install. Do have to watch out for different width pieces, found a few pieces that were almost 1/8" narrower than the rest. Makes it hard to get the next row nice and straight and without gaps. Either take the bad piece out or modify the next row. The finish was very easy to scratch.
