Answer:
Yes, it can; our click-lock floors can be floated over any solid material, even particleboard. However, the flooring that our floors are installed on must be anchored to the grade below it. In other words, we will not warranty a floating floor installed over another floating floor.

Answer:
Hi Jennypitt,
Steam mops should never be used on engineered flooring.
The moisture will be absorbed by the flooring causing it to buckle.
Use only a dust mop or cleaner specifically designed for engineered flooring.

Hey Mary,
While I can't speak specifically for ThermoSoft products, when using a radiant heat underlayment with the Home Legends Click-Lock products, you have to ensure that the sub-flooring does not exceed 84°F.

If yo are installing upon a masonry-based material (concrete, ceramic tile, terrazzo), you will need a 6-mil polyethylene film as a moisture barrier. If not, you can choose any floating floor underlay or no underlay at all.

Hello Rebeckah and thank you for your question.
The Home Legend Hand Scraped Moroccan Walnut Click Lock Hardwood is beautiful!
If you are installing the floating floor over a concrete subfloor, you must first use a 6 mil polyethylene film moisture barrier as per manufacturer’s instructions and warranty.
There are no recommended underlayments for wooden or concrete subfloors; however you can install an underlayment based upon the properties that you desire:
Cork will provide sound dampening as well as inhibit mold and mildew.
Polyethylene foam will give a softer feel underneath and provide some cushioning.
2-in-1 underlayment offers insulation, cushioning, and moisture protection.
The 3-in-1 underlayment provides insulation, cushioning, moisture protection, and sound dampening. Some 3-in-1 underlayments also have the recommended 6 mil polyethylene moisture barrier film attached to provide a cost-effective and time saving solution for installation over concrete or masonry (ceramic tile) subfloors.
The Installation Instructions for the click-lock hardwood flooring can be found here: http://www.homelegend.com/pdfs/2012/HDF%20Valinge%20Click%20Wood%20Installation%20Instructions.pdf.

Hand Scraped Moroccan Walnut 3/8 in. Thick x 4-3/4 in. Wide x 47-1/4 in. Length Click Lock Hardwood (24.94 sq.ft/case) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 204.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation and great value This is the 7th floating floor I have installed over 15 years. Engineered floor have improved over this time period. This is a good choice (3/8") because it has a thicker top veneer and could be repaired (sanded) if needed. The installation needs basic DIYer tools. I usually use the cheapest underlayment, but if your budget can stand it, upgrade to a 3-1 underlayment. It goes down easier and gives the floor a more solid feeling. I put together a generic how to that can be used and answers a lot of questions. click on: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_bVeq7Czgw9TXk5Tk9NeXdUODg/view?usp=sharing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice This is the second time I have purchased this grade of engineered flooring. Every once in a while I purchase less quality flooring and figure "its good enough" and every time I am wrong! This stuff is wonderful, easy to install and of excellent quality. All of the locking prices were absolutely perfect, making the joints look great. I am a wood products engineer by profession and a wood scientist by education, so I have a lifetime of study of these kinds of products and I highly recommend this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it We installed this floor this past weekend (we used 3 1/2 inch wide panels, which are now discontinued, but otherwise, it's the same product). I don't usually take the time to review products, but it was so easy to install, and it really looks gorgeous, so I wanted to share this with others. We put a ceramic click lock floor in the foyer, and it was SO much work...this floor was a breeze, even fun to install. One thing I love is that the wood has a wax coating to protect it. I spilled my water bottle while insalling, and it just beaded up on the wood. The wax is a great barrier and will help it last. I would definitely recommend this product.

I am very happy with the color and variation in the the boxes. 2. I am very unhappy with the variation in lengths with in the boxes. the site says random variation in boxes. 11 boxes opened each box had the same amount of each sizes in each box. The biggest disappointment in this is each box only had 3 full length boards. I have not started the job yet and will give further input .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful floor This was our first floor of any kind that we attempted to put down. We used Black Jack underlament which went down easily. The installation of the Maple Sedona went without a lot of difficulty, especially after we had a few rows in place. The color is beautiful, rich honey and carmel color. The natural grain of the wood and natural variations of each board make it a unique and beautiful floor. I would recommend this to anyone. One tip, if you are able to get to Home Depot in person to choose your floor, it will give you a much better idea of the true look of the product. The picture on the web site does not do it justice.

Ordered 3 boxes of this flooring and one of the boxes had a strong yellow tint and heavy grain on all the flooring pieces. I ended up using those pieces for cut ends and in the corners, because I didn't want to go through the hassle of ordering another box online (isn't carried in store). The color was completely different than the other two boxes and from what I ordered. Disappointing....

I have installed many engineered floating wood floor products and this is superior to them all ! They snap together easily and securely . They also allow you to unsnap easily to reposition them... ( without breaking ). The wax coating not only gives better spilled water protection for the customer but also serves as a lubricant for installation. This is a superior product !!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good The boxes do not just contain 48" pieces. There are also other smaller pieces laid together. This is not an issue if you are doing a small area, but if you have a wide room and want to lay out just 4-foot pieces, as per the instructions, then you will need more boxes than you might have expected. I ended up needing about 20% over the square footage rather than the typical 10% over recommended for waste. Another complaint... When I ordered 45 boxes delivered to the home, they came in perfect condition, but when I ordered 3 boxes delivered to the store, they were a bit beat up. The cracks in the click-lock track didn't hurt installation and the surfaces were fine, but time will tell if it affects how it holds up. Besides that, the pieces were easy to work with, easy to connect, no tools required other than saws. It was an easy install, and I would definitely use it again. The Tuscan style has a lot of variability in colors, which I liked, but may not be to everyone's taste.
